Outlaw Magic: Tales of Infamous Sorcerers and Their Crimes

By admin

Magic has captivated human imaginations for centuries. It has been the subject of folklore, legends, and even literature. However, despite its enchanting allure, magic has been at times feared and deemed dangerous. As a result, many societies throughout history have sought to outlaw magic and those who practiced it. The reasons behind the outlaw of magic vary from culture to culture and era to era. In some cases, magic was seen as a threat to the established religious or political order.

Posted: Dec 14, 2018 04:48 pm Unless I am mistaken, the Outlaw site is gone, the subscription having expired. Posted: Dec 14, 2018 06:17 pm Yep, looks like it. but it came back once before! Will probably take a silver bullet to make sure! Posted: Dec 14, 2018 11:44 pm

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who didn't receive what he paid for from Outlaw effects. That said, Gemini Artifacts provided me with prompt shipping and great customer service and I'm very happy with them.

Ordered just a few things from Gemini (that were once in the Outlaw stable) and always got it with very good service. I definitely recommend.

Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.

Order with absolute confidence from Vic at Gemini. I am in the US and have never done business with Lebannon. Are the shipping costs to the states high and is Lebannon as good a vendor as Gemini?

Dan at Lebanon is fantastic, you can trust him implicitly and his customer service is second to none. Not sure about shipping costs to the US but with the strength of the dollar it will be a lot cheaper than the other way which is why some of the larger Gemini items can be expensive to ship over here. (But worth it)

Keith Hart is fantasic as is Blindeye Magi. We've had a couple stinkers in our community, but by and large, guys like the former two and Dan and Vic really prop up our hobby/profession.

All of the ones mentioned (the last couple of days) are good guys and trustworthy and great to deal with
the shipping is not out of sight (it is what it is unfortunately) but it won't put you in the poorhouse (just allow a bit of extra time for it to get here (most times except Xmas think around two or three weeks if Dan has it in stock)

Winks, I second Blackharts thanks. As does he and the others mentioned I just try to do what is right and treat others like I would like to be treated.

In some cases, magic was seen as a threat to the established religious or political order. Those who practiced magic were often viewed as heretics or witches and were persecuted accordingly. The fear of the unknown and the supernatural often fueled these witch-hunts and trials, resulting in the loss of many innocent lives.

Furthermore, the outlawing of magic can be seen as an attempt to maintain control and power. Magic possesses an inherent spontaneity and unpredictability that can challenge the established norms and structures. By suppressing magic, authority figures can maintain their control over the population, ensuring that they alone hold the power. Additionally, outlawing magic can be seen as a means of protecting society from the potential dangers associated with its practice. Magic, when wielded without proper guidance or control, can have devastating consequences. It can be used to manipulate and harm others, and in the wrong hands, it can be a tool of destruction. Therefore, some societies have deemed it necessary to ban magic altogether in order to protect their citizens. Nevertheless, the outlawing of magic has also had unintended consequences. It has driven underground the practice of magic, creating secret societies and hidden communities that continue to study and cultivate the ancient arts. This further perpetuates the allure and mystery surrounding magic, as it becomes associated with rebellion and forbidden knowledge. In literature and popular culture, the concept of outlaw magic often serves as a powerful symbol. It represents the struggle against oppressive forces, the pursuit of freedom, and the longing for a different reality. Characters who possess magical abilities and are forced to hide them embody the complexities of individuality, conformity, and the yearning for acceptance. In conclusion, the outlawing of magic has been a recurrent theme throughout history. It has been driven by various motives, from religious and political control to the fear of the unknown. However, despite attempts to suppress it, magic continues to fascinate and inspire human curiosity, giving rise to countless tales of rebels and spellcasters who dare to challenge the status quo..

Reviews for "Known by Many Names: The Secret Identities of Outlaw Magicians"

1. Sarah Smith - 2 stars
I was really disappointed with "Outlaw Magic". The plot was confusing and hard to follow, and the characters lacked depth. I didn't feel connected to anyone in the story, and I found myself not caring about what happened to them. The writing style was also quite average, and there were several grammatical errors throughout the book. Overall, I wouldn't recommend "Outlaw Magic" to others.
2. John Thompson - 1 star
I absolutely hated "Outlaw Magic". The story was slow-paced and boring, and I found it difficult to stay engaged. The plot was predictable, and there were no unexpected twists or turns that could have saved it. The dialogue between characters was also incredibly cheesy, and I couldn't take their interactions seriously. I regret wasting my time on this book.
3. Emma Jackson - 2 stars
I had high hopes for "Outlaw Magic", but I was let down. The world-building was confusing and lacked depth, and I found it hard to understand the magical system in the book. The pacing was also uneven, with some parts dragging on while others felt rushed. The main character was also quite unlikeable, and I didn't feel invested in their journey. "Outlaw Magic" has potential, but it fell short in execution.
4. David Johnson - 1 star
"Outlaw Magic" was a complete disaster. The writing was dull and lacked any sort of excitement or emotion. The action scenes were poorly described and left me feeling underwhelmed. The plot was also all over the place and didn't make much sense. I felt like the author didn't put much effort into creating a cohesive story. Save yourself the trouble and skip this book.
