Magic Tree House Book Two is the second book in the popular children's series written by Mary Pope Osborne. In the 18th century, arnica was often used for the treatment of ailments such as gout, rheumatism, varicose veins and phlebitis. In modern times extracts from arnica have been shown to have an antiseptic effect and they promote blood circulation, relieve pain and speed up the healing process. These uses and others are frequently reviewed and clinically well-documented. Due to these characteristics, arnica is also called the ‘The guardian and healer of muscles and bruises’.

Antibacterial shaving soap?

I get pimples on my face frequently. My doctor says I'll grow out of it but I'm already 24 lol. I reckon if i used an antibacterial shaving soap it would help kill the infection and germs while i shave.
So my question is where can i find a soap that will help me?

and any decent alcohol based aftershave should kill any bacteria you may be dealing with

I suspect you are having an allergic reaction to whatever soap you are currently using.

Wet shaving and using a shaving brush on my face drastically reduced my incidences of pimples when I was younger.

I use derby shaving cream and Palmolive soap stick. My main razor is a gillette fatboy.
I was using aftershave and balms for a while, But i stopped because i was getting more pimples and infections. Now i put sudocrem on my face after shaving and rub it in well. The pimples are around my mouth only though.

The Kiwi

1. Neutrogena makes a face clearing shave cream. It is a non-lathering type. Apply a thin layer as a pre-shave, then use a lathering product atop it. When done, rinse completely and apply a straight Witch Hazel liberally (Dickinson's is the usual brand, but many drugstore chains have a house brands that is similar).

2. Keep your hands and fingers *away* from the affected area, except when applying a cleanser, astringent, etc.

3. Neutrogena also has a skin clearing aftershave balm, with the same Salicylic Acid ingredient, but it's hard to find, forcing me to use a product from the Lab Series at a much higher cost. I get Psoriasis breakouts, and Salicylic Acid works better with that than anything else.

My skin was troublesome in my teens, but it was mostly confined to the upper parts of my face, close to my nose, and low on my forehead. Witch Hazel was part of my routine then, to reduce the oiliness of my skin.

Dermatologists can provide the very best advice, and help determine if diet changes, aftershave ingredients, or other factors are involved, and whether exfoliant treatments may be helpful.

may be an PH problem? or clogged pores (maybe from teh soap)? are you an excessive sweater?

other than that I'd stick with Kiwi's advice until you see your doctor or even a Dermatologist - wishing you the best of luck with the issue
