The Magic Twist Sponge: Your Ticket to Perfectly Twisted Hair

By admin

The magic twist sponge is a popular hair styling tool that is designed to help create defined and uniform curls or twists in natural hair. It is commonly used by people with afro-textured hair or those who want to achieve a curly hairstyle. The sponge is typically made of a soft and porous material, usually foam, which is several inches long and shaped like a rectangular or circular block. One side of the sponge is covered in small, raised holes or dimples, while the other side is smooth. To use the magic twist sponge, it is recommended to start with damp hair. The sponge is pressed against the hair and then twisted in a circular motion.

This one is so easy and she thought it was hilarious. Line up some shoes (it can be adult shoes or kid shoes) and sit the elf in the first one. All aboard the Shoe-Shoe Train!

Elf on the dheld magic pants

The sponge is pressed against the hair and then twisted in a circular motion. The raised holes or dimples on the sponge create a friction that helps to define the curls or twists in the hair. The more pressure and twisting applied, the tighter and more defined the curls will be.

Elf ideas for toddlers & kids – our elf on the shelf is naughty & nice

This is my first year having an Elf on the Shelf and I was worried my daughter wouldn’t really understand it yet because she’s only 3 and doesn’t go to school… oh boy, was I wrong! She loves her Elf so much and truly enjoys finding her everyday. Trixie (the name my daughter selected for our elf) is naughty but she keeps it simple, because this mommy needs her sleep. Here are some fun ideas that have brought a lot of joy and Christmas magic to our home. The best part is they only take a couple minutes (at most) to set up. If you want to see our daily updates, check me out on Instagram @thetravelingred , I always share our elf on my stories.

UNDIES IN THE CHRISTMAS TREE

Our elf, Trixie, got my daughters panties and hung them on the Christmas tree as ornaments then hid in the tree as well. Super simple and she thought it was hilarious. She spent the entire day telling everyone how naughty her elf Trixie is.

S’MORES

This one is super easy. Flip a coffee cup to seat the elf, and add a toothpick with mini marshmallows and set them over a candle so your elf is making S’mores.

TOILET PAPERING THE HOUSE

This is probably the one that’s taken the longest to set up but she loved it. Pick a space and make a toilet paper mess. Leave the elf sitting on the roll so they know who is responsible.

READING TO THE TOYS

Pick a book and any toys and have the elf read to them. I chose her dinosaurs and a dinosaur book to match.

TOY IN A JAR

Our elf got my daughter favorite stuffed animal and stuck him in a glass jar on our shelves in the kitchen. She wasn’t so sure about this one because she wanted her Alien back. I probably should have picked a toy she didn’t like as much. Oops!

ROCK CLIMBING

Get some holiday gift wrapping bows and create a “rock climbing” wall. We did it on the fridge because I was worried it might mess up my paint. Just put a bunch of bows and have your elf climb up.

FRUIT WITH EYES

I ordered a box of self-adhesive googly eyes and put eyes on all of our fruit in our fruit basket. So easy and fun!

PRINCESS TEA PARTY

My niece was over so we had 2 elves that night. The elves set up a tea party with all of the princesses. This one was much harder to find because it was on the third floor of the house, so the girls really had to search to find it.

SLEDDING ON THE STAIRS

If you have a staircase, this one is super easy. Tie some candy canes together to make a sled and then tie them to the banister on the stairs.

ROLLING DOWN THE STAIRS

You need stairs for this one too, but it’s so great and super simple. Stick the elf inside the roll of toilet paper and roll them down the stairs.

FISHING

Fill the sink with water, add some Goldfish (every kids favorite snack) and set the elf there with a fishing rod. We have this one from a fishing game, but any stick with a piece of string will work. This has been one of her favorites so far. Tip: Don’t add the goldfish til the end because they get soggy rather quickly. I found out the hard way.

ALL TIED UP

Grab a toy or a few and an extra strand of Christmas lights and tie them all up. Super easy and lots of fun.

HANGING FROM THE CHANDELIER

I did this one on the very first day so it would be super obvious. She has never had an Elf before or even heard about them, so I hung the elf from the chandelier in the center of the family room and put the book on the coffee table so she wouldn’t miss it.

SWINGING

I found this idea on Pinterest and changed it a little. Use an old toilet paper roll and a piece of string to create a swing. I tied ours onto a Christmas banner and sat the elf on the swing.

LAUNDRY ROOM AMUSEMENT PARK

Turn your dryer into an amusement park ride in just a minute. Sit the elf with some friends (I used Barbies) on a ledge inside the dryer and use a piece of packing tape to hold them in place. I folded over the tape in the middle so it wouldn’t actually stick to them. It held in place all night long.

SHOE-SHOE TRAIN

This one is so easy and she thought it was hilarious. Line up some shoes (it can be adult shoes or kid shoes) and sit the elf in the first one. All aboard the Shoe-Shoe Train!

MARSHMALLOW BUBBLE BATH

Even Elves need to relax! What better than a bubble bath? Our Barbie house has a bathtub, so we used that, but you can do it anywhere…. the sink, crockpot, etc. Add some mini marshmallows and you have a bubble bath. If you set it up the night before and don’t want to leave food out, you can use cotton balls for the same effect.

CAMPING SLEEPOVER

My daughter set up a fort using our dining room chairs and some bedsheets. She didn’t want to take it down at night, so I took advantage of the fort we had built. Added a blanket on the floor, all of her baby dolls and our elf, Trixie. The girls had a slumber party in the fort. It’s also fun if you set it up so your kid can play in the fort the rest of the day. She loved playing in her fort all day.

DINOSAUR RIDES

Trixie decided she wanted a piggy back ride from our Christmas dancing dinosaur. Watching the dinosaur dance with our elf on his back was hilarious!

EYES ON FAMILY PHOTOS

Since I already had a pack of googly eyes, I put them to use again, but this time on a family photo. You can paste little pom poms or googly eyes and it’s super fun and easy.

MASK HAMMOCK

What’s more 2020 than a disposable mask? Every home has one laying around. Just grab a disposable mask and hang it on a chandelier or even the Christmas tree and sit your elf inside.

STEALING SNACKS

Our elf wanted my daughters favorite snacks so she built herself a wall using household items so she could get into the chip bin.

POOL PARTY

Our elf was in the mood for a swim! She got a unicorn float we have that’s actually a cup holder and sat in it. Placed her in the float and let her go into the pool. This has been one of my daughters favorites!

Hope these helped you get some new ideas for your elf. And if you have any great ideas please send them my way! Leave it in my comments. Happy Holidays!

This is super fun and missions are so simple and cute! The envelope could be reused night after night too!
Magjc twist sponge

The magic twist sponge is versatile and can be used on different hair lengths and textures. It is particularly effective on short to medium-length hair. It is also suitable for hair that is coily, curly, or kinky in texture. One of the advantages of using the magic twist sponge is that it allows for quick and easy styling. It is a convenient tool for those who want to enhance their natural curls or create a curly hairstyle without using heat or chemicals. It also provides a consistent and uniform curl pattern, making it easier to achieve a desired look. However, it is important to note that the magic twist sponge may not work as effectively on all hair types. Some people may find that it does not provide enough definition or that it causes frizz. Additionally, excessive use of the sponge or using it on dry hair can lead to breakage or damage. In conclusion, the magic twist sponge is a popular hair styling tool for creating defined and uniform curls or twists in natural hair. It is a convenient and easy-to-use tool, but results may vary depending on individual hair type and condition. It is advisable to use the sponge on damp hair and to avoid excessive or dry usage to maintain hair health..

Reviews for "Get the Perfect Wash and Go with the Magic Twist Sponge"

1. Kyle - 2 stars - I was really excited to try the Magic Twist Sponge as I had heard so many good things about it. However, I was quite disappointed with the results. The sponge didn't seem to hold any product and just ended up smearing everything around. It also didn't blend out my foundation or concealer very well, leaving streaks on my face. Overall, I didn't find it to be worth the hype and would not recommend it.
2. Emily - 1 star - I tried the Magic Twist Sponge after seeing so many positive reviews, but it did not work well for me at all. The sponge felt really dense and didn't expand as much as I had hoped. It also absorbed a ton of product, so I ended up using way more concealer and foundation than I normally would. Additionally, the twisting motion was awkward and didn't seem to do much in terms of blending out my makeup. I was really disappointed with the performance of this sponge and won't be using it again.
3. Justin - 2 stars - I'm not sure what all the fuss is about the Magic Twist Sponge. I found that it didn't blend my liquid foundation evenly and left me with a cakey finish. The twisting motion didn't seem to make much of a difference in terms of application, and the sponge itself felt quite scratchy on my skin. I also had a hard time cleaning it thoroughly as it seemed to hold onto product, even after multiple washes. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this sponge to others.
