The Mythology and Lore in Magic Knight Rayearth Manga

By admin

Magic Knight Rayearth is a popular manga series that was created by Clamp, a renowned all-female manga artist group. The manga was serialized in Nakayoshi magazine from 1993 to 1995 and was later adapted into an anime series. The story of Magic Knight Rayearth revolves around three ordinary junior high school girls named Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji. The three girls are transported to the world of Cephiro after hearing a voice calling for help. Upon arrival, they meet the high priestess, Princess Emeraude, who informs them that she has been imprisoned by her own will, and Cephiro is on the verge of destruction due to the imbalance of her emotions. Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu are then appointed as the Magic Knights and given the task of rescuing Princess Emeraude and saving Cephiro.

The series follows three eighth-grade girls who find themselves transported from modern-day Japan into the magical world of Cephiro, where they are tasked with helping to save Cephiro.

Now accompanied by Mokona, the girls then travel to the Forest of Silence to meet with Presea, the artisan who will create for them the weapons they need to battle Zagato and revive the Mashin. For instance, it is Ascot s love for his monsters that allows him to continually summon them to fight against the heroines even as they keep being destroyed.
