This year, instead of resolving to make up for last year's shortcomings or trying out a new diet craze, take steps toward total happiness with goals that will bring a smile to your face every day. More often than not, New Year's resolutions are based around changes we want to make or things we don't like but think we should do more of; this year we want to encourage you to do more of the things you actually love. Here are three things — besides bod goals, job goals, and bae goals — to positively focus your energy on.

1. Find a hobby to do by yourself. We've all tried plenty of hobbies, and for whatever reason, some stick and some don't. However, over the years, we can bet there's one thing you tried that made you feel really happy to be doing. Whether it's gardening, fishing, swimming, or just walking through the park, find your happy place and hold yourself to going there once or twice a week. Make sure it's something that you can fit into your busy routine!

2. Hang out with people who make you laugh. You know those scenes in Sex and the City where the girls are all at breakfast laughing about their most recent escapades? Do that! Gather your girls, and hold each other accountable for making time to just hang out and catch up. If they're not the girls you get dressed up with to go to the clubs, it can be the people you laugh with at the office. Either way, find a girl gang that fits your needs and vow to keep each other laughing at least twice a month.

3. Get creative. Even if you're not an art collector or visual artist, being creative and engaging in creative spaces is a surefire way to bring extra joy to your day-to-day. Change your route to work to include walking through a graffiti alley, stop by a local art walk on your way home once a month, or take a weekly trip to your nearest MoMA — there are dozens of easy ways to engage in the arts with minimal effort. So get to Google and find something inspiring that tickles your creative taste buds.

Whichever way you choose to brighten up your new year, make sure your resolutions are pushing you further and bringing you joy. And remember: Even the most minor adjustments to your routine can bring about a major change in your mood and overall happiness.

Pathways and archways made from branches, stones, or other natural materials often lead visitors on a journey through the garden, heightening the sense of adventure. Water features are also common in magic gardens, adding a soothing and ethereal element to the space. Fountains, ponds, and waterfalls create a tranquil atmosphere and provide a habitat for aquatic plants and animals. The gentle sound of flowing water further enhances the magical ambiance of these gardens. Another key aspect of a magic garden is its ability to awaken the imagination. As visitors explore the garden, they may encounter hidden nooks and crannies, secret passageways, and unexpected surprises. These elements encourage visitors to use their imagination and engage with the garden on a deeper level. Magic gardens serve as a refuge from the stresses of everyday life, offering a place of tranquility and beauty. Whether it's a small corner in a backyard or an expansive public park, magic gardens have the power to captivate and inspire all who enter their realm..

Reviews for "The Science Behind the Magic of Gardens"

1. Emily - 2 stars - Magic Gardens Uptown was a huge disappointment for me. The concept sounded great, but the execution fell flat. The garden lacked maintenance and seemed neglected. The flowers were wilted, and there was garbage scattered around. The pathways were also misleading, with dead ends and no clear direction. Overall, it didn't feel magical at all and certainly not worth the entrance fee.
2. John - 1 star - I regret visiting Magic Gardens Uptown. It was overcrowded and chaotic. The staff seemed overwhelmed and were not able to provide proper guidance or answer questions. The gardens themselves were underwhelming and didn't live up to the hype. In addition, the prices for food and drinks inside were ridiculously high. I would not recommend this attraction to anyone.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I had such high expectations for Magic Gardens Uptown, but it was a letdown. The venue was crowded and didn't have proper crowd control measures in place. The beautiful features showcased in the promotional photos were barely visible due to the masses of people blocking the view. It was difficult to enjoy the experience with the constant jostling and long wait times for attractions. I was expecting a magical and tranquil experience, but instead, it was overwhelming and disappointing.
4. Michael - 2 stars - Magic Gardens Uptown lacks true magic. The installations were average at best and didn't offer anything unique or captivating. The overall atmosphere felt forced and trying too hard to create a whimsical ambiance. The whole experience felt more like an attempt to cash in on the popularity of similar garden attractions, rather than a genuine effort to create a magical place. Save your money and visit a different garden with more authentic beauty and charm.
