Has any one used a compressor called the magic death eye by ddmf? It has a mono and stereo version. I don’t need it for a bus or master track, I want to use it on individual instruments. Will they work for that? They are pretty pricey so it might be a good investment.

Yes, I use both Magic Death Eye -versions. Both of them can be used on a stereo track, the naming just follows the hardware units. As far as the sonics go, they are the best plugin compressors I have used - this is personal of course. I use them on individual tracks and on the master bus depending on the project. To my mind they are not pricey at all. The stereo version uses quite a bit CPU on Auria Pro (I have iPad Pro 10.5.).
