I've had these Pentair Magic Bowls installed for three years now. Anyone have any ideas on how I can stop the paint from peeling? It's not limited to just the water surface area. As you can see it is even peeling off the top area where there is no water. It's worse where there is water contact.

My guess is that is pretty normal for being outside in the sun. My only suggestion would be to routinely keep it painted.

What did Pentair have to say about it.

Thanks for the reply. I sent information to Pentair to try to get this covered under warranty. They came back with the statement that it's not a warranty issue. The product manager claims it's caused by excessive chlorine (putting a chlorine tab in the bowl) or some other chemical being used on the bowls. I've never cleaned them with any chemicals and I absolutely have never put a chlorine tab in the bowls. That still doesn't explain the peeling area where there is no water. So I'm at a loss.

Take the bowls out of service and let them dry out. Mask off the valve. Use a stiff wire brush to scrub off loose or peeling paint. Vacuum and clean up debris. Find a matching color and texture of Rustoleum paint and repaint the bowl where the old paint peeled.

As @Jimrahbe said, 3 years out in the harsh sun and heat will destroy most things. Here in southern AZ we have a saying that outdoor living products will always last half as long as the manufacturer claims and cost twice as much. Sun, heat, UV, water and chlorine is pretty much a recipe to destroy anything.

Reviews for "Create Delicious Recipes with the Magic Bullet Cross Blade"

1. Jessica - 1/5 stars
I was really disappointed with the Magic Bulleg Cross Blafe. The product did not live up to its claims at all. The blades were not sharp enough and struggled to cut through even soft fruits and vegetables. Also, the motor was not powerful enough to blend items thoroughly, leaving behind chunks and unblended ingredients. It's definitely not worth the price and I would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Michael - 2/5 stars
I bought the Magic Bulleg Cross Blafe with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The motor is incredibly loud and it leaks liquids while blending, making a mess on the countertop. The build quality also feels cheap and flimsy. It may work fine for occasional use, but for regular blending tasks, it's not durable enough. Overall, I was not satisfied with this product.
3. Sarah - 2/5 stars
The Magic Bulleg Cross Blafe was a disappointment for me. The blades became dull after just a few uses and struggled to blend even softer ingredients. It also had a tendency to overheat quickly, forcing me to stop and wait for it to cool down during longer blending sessions. The design is not user-friendly either, as it's difficult to clean and the buttons are not intuitive. I would highly recommend looking for alternative blender options.
4. David - 1/5 stars
I regret purchasing the Magic Bulleg Cross Blafe. It started leaking from the bottom after a few weeks of use, and the blending results were never satisfactory. The plastic housing feels cheap and the blender jar is quite flimsy. It's not durable enough to withstand regular use and the poor performance simply doesn't justify the price. Save your money and invest in a better blender from a reputable brand.
