Little Witch Academia Vol. 9 is the penultimate volume in the manga series based on the popular anime of the same name. The volume continues the story of Atsuko "Akko" Kagari and her friends at Luna Nova Magical Academy as they face new challenges and adventures. In this volume, Akko and her classmates are preparing for the Grand Triskellion, a magical tournament in which the winner will be granted a wish. Akko is determined to win the tournament and use her wish to bring magic back to the world, which has been slowly disappearing. However, she faces tough competition from her rivals, including Diana Cavendish, who is also vying for the top spot.
In April 7, 2020, a new season for the series has been planned, but was up put into a hold for a time being due to unknown circumstances. [13] The actual reason of the hiatus however, was Michiru Shimada's unfortunate passing in December 2017.
