My whole family loved this show, which includes my kids (aged 8, 7, and 4). There wasn't even a hint of un-family-friendliness about the show, but the game I see is rated T for partial nudity, suggestive themes, and crude humor.

How bad does it get? I'd love to get the game for my kids and they're fairly mature for their age, but still that 'T' rating worries me.

If beleive this game has the same rating as the anime.
If they were fine watching the anime, they would be fine playing the game too, i believe.

the T rating is for the extra special scene you can unlock between akko and diana, which is where the partial nudity and suggestive themes happen

Hi Adam! Sorry that people have been giving you unhelpful responses. I am also a big fan of Little Witch Academia, and from what I've seen of the game, it's just as innocent as the show is. I think it would be a great purchase for your kids if they're big fans of the series! I haven't seen any nudity, partial or otherwise, in the game and strongly feel that this was a misjudgment on the ERSB's part.

The one kid-unfriendly aspect of the game however is navigation. A lot of the halls look samey, which could lead to a younger child getting lost or frustrated in the adventure segments. If you can help them with this I'm sure they'll still get a lot of enjoyment out of the game.

Hope this helps you in your decision!

Reviews for "The influence of "Little Witch Academia" on children's imagination and its age rating"

- John - 1 star - I thought "Little Witch Academia" would be a fun and lighthearted anime, but I was sorely disappointed. The age rating, which is suitable for children, really hindered the potential of the show. The story was overly simplistic and lacked depth, and the characters were one-dimensional and stereotypical. I found myself bored and unengaged throughout the series, and I think a higher age rating would have allowed for a more mature and complex storyline.
- Sarah - 2 stars - I was excited to watch "Little Witch Academia" after hearing so many positive reviews, but I found the age rating to be misleading. While the animation and art style were visually appealing, the plot felt watered down and too geared towards a younger audience. The humor was childish and repetitive, and it became tiresome after a few episodes. I believe if the show had a higher age rating, it could have delved into more serious themes and offered a more compelling narrative.
- Mike - 1.5 stars - I couldn't understand the hype behind "Little Witch Academia" considering its age rating. The storyline was predictable and lacked originality, and the characters were cliché and uninspiring. The animation was colorful and vibrant, but that couldn't make up for the superficiality of the show. It definitely needed a higher age rating to explore more complex themes and appeal to a wider audience.
