• Anon I sometimes heard this on K-Earth 101 back when I was younger as well as Baby I'm-a Want You and Guitar Man. Mr. Gates' voice was so dulcet and sweet that the song could have been made for his adoring wife. The non-ironic and non-heartbreaking use of "baby", "babe" and "girl" send a sweet message to the intended woman that the song is for. If his wife had heard "Make It With You", she would have had tears of joy spilling down her cheeks and would have been kissing her husband all over his face.
