In a sisterhood of witches, Glinda, the Witch of the South, along with the Witch of the East and the Witch of the North, protect Oz with each of their magic affinities. Only the fourth seat of the sisterhood—representing innocence—remains empty, but through Glinda's guardianship of the Book of Records, a prophecy foretells of a sorceress coming to Oz via a cyclone to join them. Secondly, the book also states this witch will "unseat the greatest evil the realm has ever seen." After seeing Zelena punish the deceitful Wizard of Oz, Glinda believes this woman, who arrived to Oz many years ago from a cyclone, will fulfill the prophecy. Though Zelena is more interested in changing her past, Glinda convinces the unsure redhead that her destiny lies in changing her own future by becoming a good witch, however, she does not tell Zelena about the second part of the prophecy. From joining the sisterhood, she gifts Zelena a pendant to harness her powers. While showing Zelena the western area of Oz, they approach wreckage from a cyclone and take in a girl, Dorothy. Zelena, from reading the Book of Records, believes Dorothy will become the Witch of the West and defeat her. Glinda doesn't believe this to be true, but she witnesses Zelena attack Dorothy, who causes her assailant to melt with water. Realizing the prophecy was right, Glinda offers Dorothy a place with the sisterhood, but the latter wishes to go home. With Zelena defeated, the Wizard reverts to his old self and thus Glinda helps her to return home with his assistance. Only after, Zelena reveals she masqueraded as the Wizard to get rid of Dorothy. Glinda vows to find another sorceress to fulfill the prophecy, but Zelena prevents her from doing so by banishing her to the Enchanted Forest. [1] In this new realm, she begins living in the woods, south of Rumplestiltskin's castle, hidden in a pocket dimension of ice and snow, which only those who are pure of heart may enter through. I was really disappointed with the performance of the actress playing the Gloo witch. Her portrayal was lacking depth and emotion. It felt like she was just going through the motions and didn't bring anything unique or interesting to the character. I expected more from such a crucial role in the story. Overall, I found her acting to be forgettable and unimpressive.
2. John - 1/5
The Gloo witch actress was absolutely terrible. Her delivery was completely wooden and I couldn't connect with her character at all. It was as if she was reading off a script without any emotion or understanding of the role. The lack of charisma and energy made the scenes featuring the Gloo witch feel dull and uninspiring. I would have preferred if they had casted someone else who could bring the character to life.
3. Emma - 2/5
I was not impressed with the performance of the actress playing the Gloo witch. Her acting felt forced and unnatural, making it difficult to fully invest in her character. The lack of chemistry with other actors was also evident, and it affected the overall dynamics of the scenes. I think the casting team could have done a better job finding someone who could capture the essence of the Gloo witch and deliver a more convincing performance.
4. Mike - 1/5
The Gloo witch actress was a complete letdown. Her acting was flat and uninspiring, which made it hard to care about the character or what happened to her. There was no depth or complexity in her portrayal, and I found myself disinterested whenever she was on screen. It's a shame because the Gloo witch is such an important character, and her lackluster performance really dragged the quality of the entire production down.
5. Catherine - 2/5
I wasn't a fan of the actress playing the Gloo witch. Her performance felt over-the-top and exaggerated, making it hard to take the character seriously. It seemed like she was trying too hard to be menacing and ended up coming across as cheesy instead. I think a more nuanced approach would have made her portrayal more effective and believable. Overall, I was disappointed with her performance and it took away from my enjoyment of the film.
