Exploring the Rare Drops and Farming Methods of the FFXI Peacock Amulet

By admin

The FFXI Peacock Amulet is an item in the game Final Fantasy XI. It is a non-tradeable amulet that is used for various purposes in the game. The main idea of this item is its unique ability to increase a player's agility and evasion stats. This makes it a valuable item for players who rely on speed and avoiding enemy attacks. The Peacock Amulet also has the additional effect of nullifying sleep, which can be useful in certain battles where enemies have sleep-inducing abilities. Overall, the Peacock Amulet is a sought-after item in FFXI due to its positive effects on a player's agility, evasion, and sleep resistance.

Re: Peacock Amulet

No matter how much I think into it I cannot fathom why this club did not mimic Kraken Club except for the sole purpose of the kraken Club remaining a status symbol for wealth, which I don t suspect would have been affected much anyway with a matching ex ra club. And now my lame attempt at getting the Octave Club fixed after the fact of camping it is done rolleyes There s nothing more to say really, but I will add that my motivation behind wanting it is for 1 faster club skill ups and 2 faster pearl and ruby.

It was inevitable, so I figured I might as well be the one to bring it up because I probably have more of a problem with this club than everyone else combined.

It has boggled my mind from day 1 as to why out of all the ex/ra equipment that went in to replace certain NM drops, octave club was singled out and purposely "nerfed" to retain Kraken Clubs specialness or whatever you want to call it. All it did was give people headaches with a BCNM that has a worse drop rate than Lord of Onzozo(not to forget the amount of time it takes to gather 60 seals to even do it) and forces you to stay at a certain level to take full advantage of it. No matter how much I think into it I cannot fathom why this club did not mimic Kraken Club except for the sole purpose of the kraken Club remaining a status symbol for wealth, which I don't suspect would have been affected much anyway with a matching ex/ra club. Lazy people are lazy and the kraken club is still uber rare. It makes even less sense when the peacock charm didn't get the same treatment by peacock amulet stats being nerfed to an extent. I'm surprised we didn't see a peacock amulet latent effect: Stats vary by moon phase. Or whatever gimmick.

This will be an incredibly cheap point to make, but if relic owners are going to get what they ask for then I see no reason why certain other weapons that require effort to obtain can't get their due adjustments and fixes. This includes but not limited to, the Octave Club, the ex/ra version of the almighty Kraken club that you can feel good about owning for exactly as long as you are willing to gimp yourself in level. In a world where the might of the kraken club has fallen considerably(which is obvious when I'm the first person to bring up Octave Club weeks after the forums came up according to search) I believe it is time to fix Octave to it's rightful stats which mimic the Kraken Club so that some of us can actually put our octave clubs to use again at level caps, like say for skill ups for club, and all around goofing off.

Players like to obtain items from NMs. It feels good and is an accomplishment. Buying a Kraken club is not an accomplishment(never mind that it's ultra rare to find for sale now) and I refuse to do it regardless that I can afford it because it doesn't mean squat to me. That's why I went the LoO route even though it now drops an inferior club, to tide me over until.. I mean never, the kraken club drops from the BCNM. It took me 2 weeks straight camping and claims to obtain mine. It's no kraken club. It was long hours. I made the choice. And I was okay with that for a long time because I had no right to complain about it after doing the camping(with no competition mind you, which is what makes this request lame and I fully understand that) because I felt it was worth the effort, but not anymore. And here comes the super duper ultra mega lameness -> Kraken Club's ex/ra cousin deserves better. Kraken Club deserves better for it's legacy. LoO deserves better than to be forgotten.

And now my lame attempt at getting the Octave Club fixed after the fact of camping it is done  There's nothing more to say really, but I will add that my motivation behind wanting it is for 1)faster club skill ups and 2)faster pearl and ruby !! procs at level 90 and beyond, if beyond ever happens. The latter being the most important by far. And I won't lie, I'm about out of beastmen seals. So yeah, thanks for taking the time to read and possibly even considering it. And yes, I have nothing better to do at 5 pm EST in the afternoon than make this thread. Kind of sad, really. Yeeeeeep. That's how boring leveling Synergy from 70 to 80 is.

I'll agree with this. I think the reason they nerfed Octave is because they didn't want people dual wielding em with K clubs.

I actually wondered this too, it was glorious at 80 to have one but at 90 it sucks and 99 is not going to be any better ><. As for not dual wielding them them with K Clubs, can you have both the r/e version of the other items and the normal ones? i suppose you can although i never looked into it. Anyway, the rare version of say Emperor is now 150k, maybe they just didn't want the Kclub to be that common because then they couldn't make it a rank 1 mog bonanza item ?

[. ]As for not dual wielding them them with K Clubs, can you have both the r/e version of the other items and the normal ones?[. ]

Yes you can own(wield) both, they are completely different items.

P.S. (To OP) I know you said it was a cheap point. But comparing something that takes an alliance of people to get over the course of several years, and a hundred plus million in gil to get to something you could easily attain in a long day of BCNM grinding with a duo partner? C'mon man lol.

P.P.S (to OP) Keep in mind the timing/reasons for all the adjustments to those items. Gil sellers were the bane of FFXI at the time, that item was made "Less Valuable" to confront that challenge. If it remained the same as the Klub, even if it was Rare/Ex, there would still be a crew there trying to sell it because of it's value. That value would be even MORE, if the possibility to dual wield both at 'full strength' was present.

Not to mention it takes some degree of skill to win the BCNM fights . Moreso then solo muscle power Vs. one mob.

Reviews for "Evaluating the FFXI Peacock Amulet's Unique Features and Bonuses"

1. Emily - 2/5 stars - I was really excited to get the Ffxi peacock amulet item, but I was ultimately really disappointed. The amulet looks beautiful, but it's not worth the price. It didn't offer any significant bonuses or advantages in the game, so it felt like a waste of my hard-earned in-game currency. I was hoping for something that would enhance my gameplay experience, but this item fell short.
2. John - 1/5 stars - The Ffxi peacock amulet item was a huge letdown for me. Not only did it not improve my character's abilities, but it also didn't even provide any aesthetic value in the game. It ended up being a useless item that took up inventory space. I feel like I wasted my time and resources trying to acquire it, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
3. Samantha - 2/5 stars - While the Ffxi peacock amulet item looks visually appealing, it lacks substance. The amulet offers no tangible benefits to my gameplay and feels like a purely cosmetic item. I was expecting something that would enhance my character's abilities or provide a strategic advantage, but this item falls short in that regard. It's not worth the effort to acquire it unless you're solely focused on aesthetics.
4. Chris - 3/5 stars - The Ffxi peacock amulet item is not worth the hype. While it looks stunning, it didn't offer any significant advantages in the game. For such a rare and expensive item, I expected more. It's disappointing that it only serves as a decorative piece and doesn't have any impact on gameplay. I wouldn't recommend investing in this item unless you're a die-hard collector.
