To dodge them you have to jump, but low (of course, using a platform of the length of the world). Using Statis Ninja Belt may unstabilize your jumps. If you mean those the come from above and below, just run faster so they don't bother ya (use something that lets you dash).

Can someone please give me some tips on how to dodge DoG's lasers when he's in the middle of his final phase? I've been trying to kill him for a month now and I'm in normal mode. My setup is bloodflare armor, blissful bombardier, ambrosial ampoule, frigid bulwark, deific amulet, seraph tracers, asgard's valor and i've got a skybridge as long as entire small world and I still die in the middle of his final phase. I'm so fed up with this boss. I'm exhausted, ready to give up and there's no way I can defeat him.

Hmm. If it's the laser walls, then I'd suggest jumping up slightly, but not too much. Try to master the laser walls, as they're the hardest part of phase 2, in my opinion.
You have atleast 2 run-ways, right?

Don't know if it's the mod that's bugged or my game.

Had to use CheatHotkeys to defeat DoG. While the boss fight was stable to begin with, for every "summon" I did it became worse and worse. At this point, when I summon him, only his head shows - the body is not visible. My FPS drops to 1 (yes, 1) at random intervals, mostly when the screen turns blue and he shoots out different particles, but it also happens when the screen turns pink and it starts chasing me, making it impossible to dodge when the whole thing is a slideshow.

A shame, since my method for killing him in the end worked perfectly, but was ruined by RNG fps drops. CheatHotkeys let me use God Mode, and even when standing still while killing him, the FPS dropped all the time.

It's very, very odd, considering how everything was 100% stable the first 5-10 times I summoned him. Oh well, at least I can progress now. I hope it's not the same with the bosses to come.

Deific amulet calamity

I am very new to the Calamity mod and looking at the Wiki there are so many items to keep track of. At the moment I have only beaten King Slime, Desert Scourge and EoC. What are the best weapons/armor I can get at this point that could potentially help me in the mod.

Getting shadow key, and do a quick dive to the first few chests in abyss. If lucky you get a few weapons there(with are usually extremely good before mechs.)

Hmm, start getting materials for some accessories. (Certain things are harder to get hardmode.)
In terms the best armor at your current progress is shadow/crimson, further down the line, specialized armor.

Dont know if you are playing expert(with revengence on or not) or not. but regardless. Try making a Deific Amulet(eventually. its ''techinally'' craftable at early hardmode).
if you are using bottle/balloon. You can replace it with Skyline wings(after skeleton. cause you need bones for them). with should help.
certain items i would like to advise are locked behind expert mode/+revengence mode i need to know those 2 if i can suggest them.

and I am in the normal difficulty so expert, revengance, and death mode stuff is not within my grasp right now, though the information may be helpful in the future when I do use the higher difficulties

If you play on revengance mode. EoC treasure bag gives a counter scarf. with is ''basically'' a master ninja gear effect. except for the dodge is activated by dashing.(with cooldown).

(also revengance. most of these are). Siren's Heart(with is dropped by . the siren with spawns in the ocean.) With is basically a upgraded version of Neptune's Shell. Through killing . spawns the Semi late Hardmode boss Siren and Leviathan. i suggest teleporting away when you kill . The . Siren spawns even in Pre-Hardmode. so you can get it extremely early.

If you are lucky. Killing any boss can drop 1 of the follow (not 100% but a chance.) Stress pills.(8% damage. 8 defense. and max movement and acceleration by 5%). Laudanum, (damage 6%. defense 6%. max movement and acceleration 5%. immune to Horror debuff(with is a debuff for revengence mode.). 1 of those can be useful extremely early.

ofc these are early game.

forget you are playing with calamity for now.
just play normally until you beat skeletron and loot the dungeon. then make aerospec armor, frostspark boots (if you havent yet) and arctic diving gear, alongside with any other accessories that you consider useful.
after that, dive into the abyss and drink gills and calming potions, anechoic coating too once you find it. grab as much abyss chest gear as you can and then get ready to fight the slime god.
once it is dead, make the combo weapon for your class and a set of statigel armor.
now prepare for hardmode both by fishing crates like normal and also gathering stuff for the big combo items you are going to use later, specifically armor and weapons made with auric ore and accessories made with phantoplasm.
then enter hardmode and just keep going until before the moonlord and repeat the above preparations aside fishing.

btw, I recommend playing on expert, since that lets you make a lot of items you normally couldnt, along with getting two more accessory slots.
