How to Style Your CVS Witch Hat for a Spooky Photoshoot

By admin

A witch hat is a common costume accessory worn during Halloween or other costume parties. It is typically associated with the image of a witch as portrayed in popular culture. The hat is often depicted as tall and conical in shape, with a wide brim that curves downward. This design has become iconic and instantly recognizable as a symbol of witchcraft. The hat's association with witches can be traced back to historical depictions of witches in folklore and literature. In many cultures, witches were often portrayed as wearing tall, pointed hats, which were believed to give them magical powers or serve as a channel for their connection to the spirit world.

Looking at CVS for a Christmas Gift

My mom likes to go to CVS ($CVS) to find gifts for all the holidays. Not like to fill the ‘I want a pony’ request for my kids. But to find some cute furry animal specifically themed to that particular holiday. Ladybugs holding a heart for Valentine’s Day, a black cat with a witch’s hat for Halloween, a turkey with a pilgrim hat for Thanksgiving.

Our house is full of them. Now that Christmas is approaching we will likely see a set of cuddly polar bears with a red elf hat. It is all great, and the kids love it but Mom, maybe you can get them a different kind of gift from CVS this year.

The chart for CVS ($CVS) stock has been in a good uptrend since this time in 2011. It took a pause, going through a consolidation through the first half of the fall until breaking higher in late October. But since early November another consolidation has set in. It has traded in a channel between 89.15 and 91.40 since Veterans Day (by the way - no presents from then).

It appears it may be ready to break that channel higher now. The 20 day SMA is rising and acting as support. The momentum indicator RSI is moving back up as it bounces above the mid line and the MACD is rounding out, for a reversal higher. A move above the channel would target a run to 100. Why not give the grandkids a possible 11% return this year?

Witch Away Kit with U by Kotex® and CVS

Are you one of those ladies that can plan your schedule around that time of the month? Or maybe Aunt Flo is more of a drop-in kind of guest for you? Does she pass through your life with little more than a fleeting “hello-goodbye”? Or does she come and stay WAAAY passed her welcome? I have had all those interactions with every lady’s favorite aunt. But, more often than not, she comes bounding in at the least convenient times, stays days longer than I want her to and, sometimes, even brings out my inner witch. But even in October, I try to keep her under wraps. Cue the Witch Away Kit.

WITCH AWAY KIT
with U by Kotex® & CVS

The idea behind the Witch Away Kit is to pamper yourself just a little more than usual. Take a little more “me time” and don’t let that wily aunt wreak havoc; don’t let her pesky ways get to you. Being a lady has it’s ups and downs. Make more ups for yourself and celebrate being a woman. Because being a woman is awesome.

Every woman’s Witch Away Kit may look a little different. Splurge a little and get things you love and enjoy and wish you had more time for. Stash them in your kit. When you’re feeling down or under the weather and that pesky aunt is being particularly persistent with her antics, pull out your kit and show her who’s boss, because, Girl, it’s YOU! Here is what is in my Witch Away Kit:

Materials:
– U by Kotex® Ultra Thin Pads®
– U by Kotex® Barely There Liners®
– pain reliever of choice
– chocolate (it’s dark chocolate, it’s good for you, right?!)
– guilty pleasure magazines
– foot scrub (or face scrub you plan to use on your feet)
– moisturizing lotion
– nail polish remover
– cotton pads
– pedicure kit (get as fancy as you please. I went for the deluxe kit and haven’t regretted it!)
– new nail polish (yes, get new ones. Even if you have 122,234 bottles at home. There’s something special about a new bottle. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Unless you have a color that you just absolutely LOVE in your stash at home.)

I scored all my loot at my local CVS and I keep all these fun things in a cauldron. Yes, a cauldron. Where else would that inner witch keep her stash? It is October after all; she might peek through more than usual. And it all fits so phenomenally, I couldn’t pass it up.

Are you more of a tampon kind of girl? U by Kotex® also has some great tampons. I find I don’t use tampons a whole awful lot since having my babies, so I don’t keep a lot of them on hand. Since my hips have widened, I just cant seem to find one that fits me well. There are some neat U by Kotex® Click® compact ones that offer full-sized protection in one easy move though. When it clicks, it’s ready to insert. Perfect for when you want to carry a spare in your pocket. And the U by Kotex® Sleek® tampons sound like they would be perfect for someone with the opposite of my hip problem. Their smooth tip and slim size help you get the perfect fit.

If you like the pad option, the Ultra Thin pads I got have the U by Kotex® 3D Capture Core® with Xpress DRI that quickly draws in and locks away wetness, which is a feature I love. No one wants to sit in their own puddle.

Be sure to grab this coupon for $2 off your next U by Kotex® purchase and go now and check out more of the U by Kotex® feminine hygiene products line! If you want even more ideas on how you can pamper yourself when Auntie Flo comes to town, check out these other fun and fabulous ideas!

CVS Has an Allergy-Free Halloween

CVS/pharmacy gave its support to children with food allergies this Halloween.

The retailer partnered with the Teal Pumpkin Project, a nonprofit initiative from Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), to encourage consumers to stock non-food items for trick-or-treaters with allergies, and display a teal pumpkin outside their house to let parents know that such treats are available.

In select stores, CVS stocked official merchandise from the nonprofit, including plastic teal jack-o-lanterns and window clings. Shelf signs explained the goal of the project, while teal category markers identified non-edible goodies such as glow sticks and stickers.

Multiple features in weekly circulars during October plugged the effort and directed consumers to tealpumpkinproject.org. An Oct. 20 Facebook update and an ad in an Oct. 9 email supported. Several Facebook updates from the Teal Pumpkin Project recognized CVS as one of its partners along with other retailers including Ahold USA and Albertsons Cos.’ Market Street.

CVS used an Oct. 27 Facebook update to again plug the project while also touting the private-label epinephrine auto-injector for individuals with life-threatening allergies that the retailer released earlier this year to much praise.

Otherwise, the drugstore chain largely followed the same seasonal tactics as usual. Shelf trays positioned on an endcap stocked a white chocolate Kit Kat exclusive first provided by Hershey Co. for the holiday in 2015.

The retailer also deployed dump racks and power wings merchandising its seasonal Spooky Village private label candy and apparel. Cosmetics SKUs from the line also were stocked on shelf trays.

Endcap headers and ceiling signs employed messages such as “scary sweets” and “a monster’s guide to Halloween.”

Online, CVS used Facebook and Twitter updates as well as emails to ExtraCare loyalty cardholders to plug “buy one, get one” deals on candy from Hershey and Mars Inc., as well as discounts on Halloween costumes and decor. Weekly circular features communicated the same deals.

In national display activity, Hershey commanded attention with a set of multi-brand case stackers positioned upfront, while Hostess earned secondary merchandising space with a floorstand stocking limited-edition Twinkies. A sidekick carrying Mondelez International’s Oreos promised “frightfully fun treats.”

Reviews for "5 Unique Ways to Decorate Your CVS Witch Hat"

1. Jane - 2/5 - I recently purchased the CVS witch hat for Halloween, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed. The quality of the hat was really poor, it felt flimsy and cheaply made. Additionally, the color faded after just one wear. I expected better from a well-known brand like CVS. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this witch hat if you're looking for something durable and long-lasting.
2. Mark - 1/5 - I have to be honest, I absolutely hated the CVS witch hat. Firstly, the sizing was all wrong. I ordered the hat online and when it arrived, it was way too small, even though I ordered the correct size. Secondly, the material felt scratchy and uncomfortable on my head. It was impossible to wear it for more than a few minutes without feeling irritated. Overall, this hat was a complete waste of money and I would not recommend it to anyone.
3. Sarah - 3/5 - The CVS witch hat was just okay for me. It looked fine and served its purpose for a one-time use, but I found the sizing to be quite off. The hat was too big for my head and kept slipping down, which was quite annoying. However, I did like the design and the fact that it had an adjustable strap to secure it under the chin. If you're only looking for a temporary witch hat, this might work for you, but don't have high expectations in terms of quality or fit.
