This book was cleverly written. The Jane Eyre vibes helped me get over the fairytale retelling vibes, which I’m not really a fan of. Not that I’m not a fan of Beauty and the Beast. I just don’t really enjoy seeing elements of the story over and over again in different stories.
I also adored Elliot; I usually don t fall in love with romance characters very easily, let alone from the start, but he was such an intriguing character. In this state, he would wreak havoc upon his kingdom, causing destruction and fear among his subjects. The curse began to take a toll not only on the king but also on his kingdom. Crops failed, livestock disappeared, and the people lived in constant fear of the once beloved king.

A awesome Beauty and Beast retelling with hot wold faes.
Gemma just wants to live her life independently. She don’t believe in love or marriage after a scandal. Gemma spends days reading and pretending to care at her new place. When she gets a chance to work, she takes it. Even if it means getting kidnap by a fae with a curse. With Gemma life on the line, she ends up helping the Fae break the curse.
The Curse of the Wolf King was a prefect beauty and beast retelling. So can relate to Gemma since all I wanna do just hide out in a book. Then you have King Fae who is very stubborn in the book, but desperate to break curse. I so love how much the main characters interact with each other. It may be a slow burn romance which I like in books. I think slow burns are more realistic then the instant romance reads. I like the cover so much. This aurthor has more classic retelling to read. So I must check them out.
