Curse of the Sea Rats is a ‘ratoidvania’ platform adventure with lovingly crafted, hand-drawn animations. Embark on the epic journey of four prisoners of the British empire, transformed into rats by the notorious pirate witch, Flora Burn. Realizing that they were no match for the cursed creatures, the surviving pirates desperately tried to find a way off the island. They stumbled upon an old, tattered book hidden in a chest, which contained a spell said to break the curse. However, the spell required a sacrifice - the life of the pirate who had originally disturbed the island. In a moment of desperation, one of the surviving pirates decided to sacrifice himself to break the curse and save his comrades. He recited the spell while the other pirates watched in awe, and as the words left his lips, a powerful burst of energy radiated from the book. A sudden calmness swept over the island, and the cursed rats began to transform back into their original form - humans. The surviving pirates were filled with relief as they saw the curse being lifted before their eyes. However, they now faced the grim reality that they were stranded on a remote island. With no way to escape, the surviving pirates were forced to rebuild their lives on the cursed island. They formed a new community, vowing to never forget the horrors they had witnessed. They called themselves the "Sea Rats" as a reminder of the curse that had forever changed their fate. To this day, the descendants of the Sea Rats continue to inhabit the island, living in harmony with nature and always cautious of their past.
