Great watch, will watch again, and do recommend.
I saw Adam Devine first (on Disney+ of all places, he's not usually Disney compliant), and said, "Oh this will be good, at least I won't have to pay close attention.", then saw "Magic Camp", and said, "Sold!", knowing I'd have to be watching magic tricks. I'm a fan of magic, but I tend to watch them like I do movies, critically. And when they're in movies ("Now You See Me") what you're actually watching for is what is semi-legitimate and what is a movie magic effect.
While the beginning is a little disappointing, it has to do with the est. read the rest.

So, I really love magic. to a pretty embarrassing degree. it disappoints me to not like this. It's a really fun premise, School of Rock meets your standard slobs vs. snobs camp story, but unfortunately it's just not very good. One kid in this looks like a young McLovin so I’m just gonna pretend this is a prequel to Superbad about McLovin at magic camp. Also yes this isn’t terrible, it’s sorta just dumb and mediocre. However, it felt like the Disney Channel originals I used to watch so I kinda enjoyed it.
The assistants are not only skilled in magic but also excel in performance and theatrics, making them an integral part of the show. In addition to the magicians and assistants, there are also the support staff who work behind the scenes to ensure that the magic camp runs smoothly.
