In addition to the comfortable sleeping arrangements, the Carnival Magic rooms also offer a range of amenities to enhance the napping experience. Do magic staves require the wielder to have the spells on their list in order to cast them?

All of the magic staves in the 5E DMG simply state that the wielder can use an action and expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the spells from it. Literally none of them require the spell to be on the caster's spell list. But a few of the magic staves from the Lost Mines of Phandelver--the Staff of Defense and the Spider Staff--specifically say "if the spell is on your class's spell list". is this a typo? A new addition to the rules on magic staves? Or just something specific to these particular staves (for some unknown reason)?

1. Jane - 1/5 stars
I found the "Carnival magic room nap" to be extremely disappointing. The room was small and cramped, making it difficult to relax and enjoy some downtime. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy. I was hoping for a peaceful nap, but instead, I was constantly restless and unable to get comfortable. Overall, I would not recommend this room for anyone looking for a relaxing nap experience on Carnival Magic.
2. Mark - 2/5 stars
While the idea of a dedicated room for napping on the Carnival Magic sounds appealing, the execution falls short. The room itself was too warm and stuffy, making it hard to relax and fall asleep. The provided blankets were not cozy and the pillow was too firm for my liking. It was also quite noisy, with constant announcements and noise from nearby activities. I had high hopes for the Carnival magic room nap, but it ended up being an underwhelming experience for me.
3. Sarah - 1/5 stars
I was really looking forward to trying out the Carnival Magic room nap, but it was a complete letdown. The room was tiny, with barely enough space to stretch out and get comfortable. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows were flat and lumpy. Additionally, the room was located next to a busy hallway, resulting in constant noise and interruptions. Overall, it was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience, and I would not recommend it to others.
4. John - 2/5 stars
I had high expectations for the Carnival Magic room nap, but unfortunately, it did not live up to them. The room itself was cramped and lacked sufficient lighting. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were not supportive. Furthermore, the room was located near a busy area of the ship, resulting in constant noise and disruptions. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and would not choose to use the Carnival Magic room nap again.
