I would say the majority of the material falls under 3. overall 2-3. It's not self working, like some books, but some of the tricks use such subtle and simple sleights that they are nearly as easy as self working tricks.

I'm surprised this hasn't been reviewed yet, as it is a tremendous book full of genuis material that above all else is useable, and lots of it is impromptu. Real tricks for real people. And don't be put off by thinking that miracle like effects can't be achieved without difficult or knuckle busting sleights, because they most certainly can. and this book will prove it. The first effect, observation test is a colour changing deck trick, and it's just brilliant, very powerful stuff indeed.

This book was recommended to me some time ago, and I only got it a few days ago, but you'll have so much fun with the effects within it. I've fooled myself a few times, even as I'm reading out the descriptions and playing with the deck, because they are that good!

The book is seperated into 17 chapters plus an appendix that teaches all the sleights necessary for the tricks in the book, although most of them will be already well known. stuff like the DL, FB reverse, Elmsley, etc. Nothing too difficult.

All the material in the first 12 chapters which includes coincidences, court cards, transpositons & four aces, can all be performed impromptu. Other chapters deal with packet tricks, gaffed cards, poker & gambling themes and tricks with 2 decks.

If you are interested in producing baffling coincidences and poweful miracle like effects that are impromptu and can be done with a normal deck, I would certainly give this book a try. Plenty of stuff to go on, and I'm sure you could get a very good working repertoire out of the material in the book alone. It has been referred to as Trost's magnum opus, and I couldn't agree more.

This book is all about overlooked simplicity that results in some truly startling effects.

There should be something for everyones taste in this book.
