MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times #1 bestselling Magic Tree House series as well as coauthor of the Magic Tree House Fact Tracker series, along with her husband, Will, and her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
JENNY LAIRD is an award-winning playwright and has been named as one of the Top 10 Playwrights in Chicago. 1. Sarah - 1 star - I was really disappointed with book number six in the magic tree house series. The story felt disjointed and lacked a clear plot. It seemed like the characters were just jumping from one random adventure to another without any meaningful connection. The writing was also very basic and lacked depth, making it hard for me to stay engaged. Overall, it was a major letdown and I won't be continuing with the series.
2. Mike - 2 stars - I had high hopes for book number six in the magic tree house series, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The story felt repetitive and predictable, with the main characters finding themselves in yet another similar situation as in previous books. The lack of originality made it difficult for me to stay engaged and I found myself getting bored halfway through. I also felt that the writing style was quite juvenile, which made it hard for me to connect with the characters. Overall, it was a mediocre read and I wouldn't recommend it.
3. Emily - 2.5 stars - Book number six in the magic tree house series was just okay for me. While the concept of time travel and magical adventures is intriguing, I found the execution in this particular installment to be lacking. The story felt rushed and underdeveloped, with the characters never getting the chance to fully explore the different worlds they visited. Additionally, the dialogue seemed forced and unnatural, which made it difficult for me to connect with the characters. Although it had some enjoyable moments, overall, it left me wanting more depth and substance.
