I just used a regular comb to comb it back, make my part and then comb it to the sides a bit. I did however, use a boar’s hair brush to get the sides nice and slicked down. I just like that in a hair do like this one when the sides are skin tight. It’s uber “gentleman,” in my opinion.

Blue Magic Pressing Oil pomade. This is a shiny vintage oil-based pomade created by the same company [Strickland company] that produces Royal Crown Pomade and Royal Crown Hair Dressing. Blue Magic Pressing Oil Pomade is similar to them, but shinier in some respects. It works better with my hair color than those 2 to produce an amazing shine.
Blue Magic Pressing Oil pomade reminds me a lot of the vintage Dixie Peach pomade and Tres Flores Brilliantine pomade that I used this week. It has the same shine and hold. Like Dixie Peach, Blue Magic Pressing Oil pomade contains Lanolin, which it gives it some strength to go along with the amazing shine.
Blue Magic Pressing Oil pomade has been around for a long time. It doesn't get as much press as Royal Crown pomade, but it's outstanding stuff nonetheless. For some reason, Blue Magic Pressing Oil pomade works well with my blond hair. The shine I get when I use this pomade is out of this world!
