Strengthening your Bond with the Forest: Using a Wood Amulet for Affinity

By admin

Amulets have long been used for various purposes, including protection, luck, and enhancing certain characteristics or qualities. One such amulet is designed specifically for boosting affinity to wood. Wood is often associated with stability, growth, and vitality, and having a strong affinity to wood can bring about a deeper connection and understanding of nature and its elements. This amulet can be worn or carried as a way to enhance this connection. The amulet itself is typically made from wood or contains wood as a prominent feature. The specific type of wood used can vary, as different woods are believed to carry different energy and qualities.

Amulet for boosting affinity to wood

The specific type of wood used can vary, as different woods are believed to carry different energy and qualities. Some commonly used woods include oak, maple, or cedar, each known for their unique properties. When using the amulet, it is important to set the intention of connecting with the energy of wood.

Digimon Survive - Chapter 2 Walkthrough

Chapter 2 starts with poor Saki walking around with Shuuji. Even the Professor is here with them. During these scenes, we'll meet with Saki's and Shuuji's own Digimon, Floramon and Lopmon. Of course, we're not alone here as you can see there are more Gotsumon prowling around.

After the scenes with Saki and the others, we'll be back with Takuma and the group. Here we'll have a choice to pick from when talking to Agumon:

  • The next fight!: Increases Wrathful affinity
  • What's happening here: Increases Moral affinity
  • Keeping everyone safe: Increases Harmony affinity

After this, we'll have tons more scenes with the rest of the crew, wondering what are we doing here, how we got here, what are Agumon and the rest. There's just too many questions for us to know right now.

Eventually we'll be back inside the school and we'll get another choice:

  • Go right around it: Increases Wrathful affinity
  • Put that off for now: Increases Moral affinity
  • Stay away from it: Increases Harmony affinity

Eventually, we decide to go look for food and we can pick between the 3 characters here. Note that you can click on them to see what they have to say, but you can "disagree" with them to select another kid:

  • Ryo: Ryo affinity up.
  • Minoru: Minoru affinity up.
  • Aoi: Aoi affinity up.

All of these will lead to the same result so pick whoever you want. Although I don't like him, I went with Ryo just to increase his affinity a bit since we haven't been able to do so.

And with that, it's Exploration time. We'll get some new areas to explore: the Music Room in the school, the woods outside the school, and a free battle past that. We have to visit all of these places so let's start with School 2F Corridor. Here we'll find Aoi. Watch the scene and we'll get a little choice:

  • Kinda weird, huh?: Nothing
  • Try to be happy here: Aoi affinity up.

Head to the Classroom afterwards to find Ryo. Similar to before, we'll get a choice here with him:

  • Phone don't work: Ryo affinity up.
  • Who were you calling?: Nothing

AFterwards head to the Music Room. You check up on the light situation, but it seems they're broken and there's no power. Hmm. Time to head to Woods by School to find Minoru and Falcomon. Once again, another choice:

  • What about the people: Nothing
  • That's amazing!: Minoru affinity up.

Once you've checked all the places out, head back to the Classroom where everyone's gathered. After a little talk, we'll get a choice once again:

  • Should be okay for now: Increases Wrathful affinity
  • What is this place?: Increases Moral affinity
  • Worried about others: Increases Harmony affinity

After the scenes, we'll get a Free Action, which is the first time we get one of these. We'll also unlock the Old School area and are explained about these Free Actions.

FREE ACTIONS

Free Actions in the game are pockets of time where we get to decide what to do. We can check in with the other kids to increase their affinities, etc. We also got a limited amount of "moves" that's displayed in the upper right corner. This time we have 7 moves so we'll have to make the most out of them every time.

I will be writing up everything that's possible to do in these Free Action phases so you can pick and choose what you want to do in your own playthrough. I may include stuff that may be recommended to do, or even what I personally did to give you an idea of my playthrough.

Like exploration, free actions may have multiple sections. Like in exploration, these sections will often, but not always, refresh everything. While this guide will cover every major event, it may miss some hidden items or battles due to this refresh.

With that note out of the way, let's start going around.

  • Old School
    • Speak to Minoru here for a choice:
      • I don't believe you: Nothing
      • You know your stuff!: Minoru affinity up
      • Use your camera to check the chair between Agumon and Aoi for Stamina Crystal
      • Speak to Aoi for a choice:
        • Is there food here?: Nothing
        • Sure, you got it: Aoi affinity up
        • Coming here triggers a scene in the Music Room (read more below)
        • Talk to Ryo inside to get a choice:
          • Let's stay positive: Increases Wrathful affinity
          • Guess we'll see!: Increases Moral affinity
          • Might be hopeless. : Increases Harmony affinity
          • He's not wrong: Ryo affinity up
          • Can't let that slide: Nothing
          • We have a scene with Haru and Miyuki (if you went to School 2F Corridor first. We'll also get a choice:
            • Just stare back: Increases Wrathful affinity
            • Ugh, just look away: Increases Moral affinity
            • Should I ask why?: Increases Harmony affinity
            • Especially Miyuki: Increases Wrathful affinity
            • When'd they get here?: Increases Moral affinity
            • Haru looks after her: Increases Harmony affinity
            • Speak to Agumon for a Big Bandage
            • Talk to Aoi and Labramon (if you went to Corridor and spoke to Aoi there). We'll also get a choice:
              • Don't go on your own: Nothing
              • I'll look out for you: Aoi affinity up
              • Speak to Agumon to get Boost Seed
              • Talk to Minoru and Falcomon (if you went to Old School and spoke to Minoru there). We'll also get a choice:
                • Have Minoru find out: Nothing
                • I'm guessing not?: Minoru affinity up

Ok, so you can see that there's a bunch of stuff we can do, and with just 7 moves we got to really think. The one thing to know is that you can spend 2 points to talk to either one of your friends. Minoru, Aoi, Ryo, and even Haru and Miyuki can all take 2 turns. For Aoi and Minoru you can raise affinity twice, once for Ryo, and of course none with the kids. There's a lot of Karma affinity choices here so check the list above.

Also, talking to Aoi, Minoru, or the kids twice you'll also be able to get an item:

                • Talk to Aoi in both the Corridor then in the Cafeteria and you'll get a Guard Charge
                • Talk to Minoru in both the Old School then in the Gym and you'll get a Giant Mushrooms
                • Go to School 2F Corridor to have Haru and Miyuki appear in the Music Room. Talk to them in the Music Room twice and you'll get a Speed Break

Besides this, you can also go to several places and get items, either by checking them out with your camera, or by talking to Agumon. Personally, I recommend you go and speak to your other DigiDestined to increase karma and personal affinities. Is much better in the long run to do this.

Once all your moves are over, you'll have a scene where you finally find some emergency rations. Pretty nice. We also have a choice here:

                • Let me try, too!: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Go along with it. : Increases Moral affinity
                • Knock it off: Increases Harmony affinity

Eventually we find a hat that belongs to the Professor and decide to go look for them, but we get another choice:

                • Do what you want: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Nowhere is safe: Increases Moral affinity
                • Look after them: Increases Harmony affinity

And now that we're ready to leave, another choice:

                • Split up, it's faster!: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Groups of two?: Increases Moral affinity
                • Stick together: Increases Harmony affinity

And after that, it's exploration time! We get a couple of new areas to explore as well, Woods by Shrine and Inner Shrine Entrance. Before we head on over there, enter the Woods by School and speak to Ryo for a choice!

                • Yeah, let's go for it: Nothing
                • Naw, leave him be: Ryo affinity up

Now open your map and at the bottom it says Go to Area. Click here to move to the area near the shrine.

Start by going to the Shrine. There seems to be nothing here besides a fight on the left side, but if you turn your camera to the right side you'll find a collectible, our first one called The Tale of the Mural - Chapter 1. This is one of the collectibles of the game and you'll get a reward when you find all 5.

At Inner Shrine Entrance, check the bushes on the left with your camera to find Rib Platter. and our kids are looking for food haha.

Something VERY important though. Check the bushes on the right with your camera and you'll find All in the Seasoning - Chapter 1. This one is similar to the one we just got.

Go ahead and now go to Woods by Shrine and before you do anything check the disturbance on the tree above Agumon to find Spirited Away - Chapter 1. Another one of these. We've now found all 3 "Chapter 1s" so that's good!

Now go ahead and talk to Aoi. We'll get a choice here:

                • We'll make it home!: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • We'll be okay here: Increases Moral affinity
                • I don't know yet. : Increases Harmony affinity

Head on over to Spider Lily Forest after your talk with Aoi and we'll find Minoru and Falcomon. Before talking to them, check the bush on the right to find Learning Crystal. Now, with your camera check the tree on the far left side and the one next to Agumon for some Ribs. I'm telling you man, these kids don't know how to look for food when I can find it already cooked out here! Haha.

Anyway, when ready talk to Minoru. Just like with Aoi, we'll get a choice with him:

                • Master and apprentice: Nothing
                • Brothers in arms: Minoru affinity up.

After you talk to Minoru and Falcomon, the gang will get together and start thinking about what to do before we're tossed into another choice:

                • Really around here?: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Hungry, you think?: Increases Moral affinity
                • Safe? I'm worried. : Increases Harmony affinity

As we're talking here, Labramon will pick up a scent she doesn't recognize. Minoru suggests we use our camera. Takuma does this automatically and reveals some footprints on the ground. We follow them towards the entrance to the shrine. Continue watching the scenes here where we find the professor surrounded by Gazimon. It seems they can talk as well!

                • Leave it to him: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Go with him!: Increases Moral affinity
                • Don't let him go!: Increases Harmony affinity

Eventually, we'll be in a fight against them.

                OBJECTIVES
                WIN LOSS
Professor reaches goal or all enemies die Professor or all allies die

During the initial scene we'll have Falcomon finally have his Digivolution! He becomes Diatrymon! Let's go!

So for this fight we have to fight 5 Gazimon. These guys are stronger than they look. You're also told that you need to protect the Professor as he makes his way to the exit, which is of course in the opposite side of the arena. Another thing, you're told that if you attack from higher ground you increase your chance of landing a Critical hit, which is nice and important. It's also true for the enemies so keep that in mind.

NOTE: The professor will be moving by himself so you'll need to keep up with him (or even go ahead of him to kill the Gazimon before they get close to him.

Slowly make your way across the arena and start killing these Gazimon as they get close. Please note that each turn that your Digimon is in its "Champion" form it'll consume 5 SP. Yeah, despite its skills using so much more SP, you'll also be consuming this SP throughout the turns so keep that in mind. It's not recommended to keep the Champion state throughout the entire fight. The good thing is that you can return to Rookie and go back to Champion the next turn.

That being said, keep your Digimon close to each other so you can kill these Gazimon in one turn. There's also a chest up here you can open up for a Potency Crystal.

Overall it's a really easy fight, especially if you keep your Digimons close and have the Gazimon come at you.

After the fight watch the scenes where the poor professor can barely move around. Afterwards, it'll be exploration time.

Start here by going to Spider Lily Forest. Although Agumon says there's nothing here, go ahead and check the Suspicious Thicket on the right side to find Energy Seed x2. Leave and head to Woods by Shrine. Here check the tree to your left with your camera to find Salve Pack. If you check the bush to t he left you'll find a shadow. Fight it or not, up to you.

Head on over to Inner Shrine Ent. and check the bushes on the right for Salve Pack x3. Use your camera on the ones on the left for a Bandage.

NOTE: if you haven't been doing so, I recommend you do some free battles and try to get some Digimon, of course if you want. There are several you can get up to this point, but the ones I got were Biyomon, Betamon, Gazimon (yeah, a Gazimon).

Once ready, head to Shrine and talk to Ryo for a choice:

                • I'll rile him up a bit: Nothing
                • I'll agree with him: Ryo affinity up.

Go ahead and talk to Aoi to get a choice as well:

                • Call her reliable: Nothing
                • Just say thank you: Aoi affinity up.

When ready, speak to the Professor to get a karma affinity choice:

                • We're counting on you!: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Leave it to us!: Increases Moral affinity
                • Please take it easy!: Increases Harmony affinity

Once your talk with him is over, go ahead and talk to Minoru. He tells us there's something in the grass nearby. We also get a choice here:

                • Are they really there?: Nothing
                • How did you find them?: Minoru affinity up.

After your talk with Minoru, go ahead and use your camera to check the right sided of the area.

This will show you some footprints, humans and what looks like the Gazimon. It looks like they're going to the Spider Lily Forest. Head back over there and we'll start talking with the Professor where we'll have another choice:

                • I'm sure they're fine: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Let's hurry on ahead: Increases Moral affinity
                • Worrying won't help: Increases Harmony affinity

After that, he'll ask you which direction is the trap. Before we check, go ahead and speak to Aoi. She's freaking out so we have a choice here:

                • Scold her: I don't know why you'd pick this one haha
                • Encourage her: Aoi affinity up.

Of course, we can also talk to Minoru to get a choice:

                • What's the difference?: Nothing
                • Trust your instincts: Minoru affinity up.

And with that, go ahead and use your camera and check the left and right sides of the area. You can check both sides to find disturbances. The left side shows the mixed footprints and that they're going to the Spider Lily Forest. The ones on the right are also mixed, but these are going into Woods by the Shrine. Open up your map and you'll unlock a new area, Woods by Shrine.

Before you head there, enter Spider lily Forest again to trigger a little scene where we find an invisible Digimon, Fangmon.

It seems like this thing is hunting us down. We don't fight it, but he just runs away. You can talk to the peeps here if you want, but leave and before you proceed with the story head to the School Area and enter Woods by School. Here examine the Dangerous Thicket to have Haru and Miyuki appear. Well also get a choice here:

                • That's impressive: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Huh? I could have sworn. : Increases Moral affinity
                • You made us worried!: Increases Harmony affinity

During the scene, Miyuki will give you an Amulet Acorn. Talk to them afterwards again and they'll disappear. Return to the Forest Area and check out the free battle. I managed to snag a Numemon (I hate this thing) here.

Now head head to Woods by Shrine now. We'll have a choice from the Professor right away:

                • Are you sure?: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • We've seen this place: Increases Moral affinity
                • What a good memory!: Increases Harmony affinity

We'll also find some footprints, just human footprints. Continue watching the scenes and you'll eventually hear someone talking, or yelling rather. After a little bit we'll be in yet another fight.

                OBJECTIVES
                WIN LOSS
All enemies defeated All Gomamon annihilated

We are now in a fight between Gazimon and one of my favorite Digimons, Gomamon! I love these guys! Right off the bat though, we have a choice!

                • Take them all on: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • There's too many: Increases Moral affinity
                • We hate bullies: Increases Harmony affinity

This fight is pretty similar to the previous one where we needed to escort the Professor, only that this time we need to protect the Gomamon from all dying. In this one we have 3 Gazimon in th every back and 2 Gotsumon, one on each side.

For this one I suggest you have 2 of your Digimon that have the lowest movement (Kunemon and Betamon for example) go to the sides to deal with the Gotsumon. You can have your Digimon with the highest movement (Falcomon) head to the center where the Gomamon are. You can have the other 2 Digimon (for me Labramon and Agumon) help a bit with the Gotsumon before going towards the center as well.

Being that now we have 2 Digimon that can Digivolution, we can make quick work of the Gazimon in the back. The Gomamon will also be helping you fight these guys off so there's no real worry there. You can also have Labramon heal them if really needed.

Don't forget about the chest here. It has a ton of health so attack it several times until you manage to open it to get Anti-Wind Crystal. Really nice! Overall a super easy fight. Helps that we have all those cute Gomamon helping us out! Now where is Joe? Haha.

Go ahead and watch the scene after the fight and we'll get Inner Shrine location unlocked. We'll also get the Riverside Forest location, which is in a brand new area.

NOTE: be careful around here right now because Fangmon will be appearing in every area here. Yeah, you'll have to fight him. Usually in his fights your objective is to just survive 3 attacks from him. He deals massive damage (over 400 per attack), but you can always send Agumon and Falcomon, Digivolve them and take him out in 3 attacks. You don't really get anything from fighting him, but you'll get a nice chunk of EXP. He can also drop Mature Enlighment Slabs randomly so that's a plus as well. Also note that he'll always run away so you can fight him over and over if you really wanted.

With that note out of the way, head to Inner Shrine and inside check out the little shrine to find Mature Enlightenment Slab.

And with that head on over to the "Dam - Underground" area and enter the Riverside Forest location. Watch the scenes that play out here as we start assuming what might have happened to Saki and Shuuji. This is not right. Agumon gives us a choice though:

                • They fooled us, too?: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Look somewhere else: Increases Moral affinity
                • Maybe they drowned: Increases Harmony affinity

After choosing, Gomamon will meat up with up with us to tell us more about this place, and that there's an actual dam nearby. Afterwards we'll unlock the Aqueduct location. Before you go there, enter the Riverside Forest again and check the bushes on the left to find a Power Pineapple. Nice find!

Go ahead and head over to the Aqueduct now. Talk to the Professor here to trigger several scenes where we finally see Saki and Shuuji. They are indeed here, but we're nowhere near them. We have to hurry up as well before something bad happens to them!

After their scene is over, we'll get to explore a little bit and we'll unlock the Dam Base and Waterway Entrance locations. Before we visit the Dam Base, head to the Aqueduct where we can find Aoi. Talk to her to get a Crisp Apple. After a little talk with her, leave and head on over to the Waterway Entrance to find Minoru and the Professor. Speak to the former to get an Earnest Banana.

Once ready, head to Dam Base to have the scenes continue. We'll have a little choice here:

                • Just hurry!: Nothing
                • Get its attention!: Nothing

I didn't find a difference here besides the scene changing a bit, but the scenes will continue as we make our way up the dam. Why are we going up again? Sounds like a bad idea! After what happens to the Professor, we'll get yet another choice here, a karma choice:

                • Shout: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Stand up: Increases Moral affinity
                • Offer encouragement: Increases Harmony affinity

All 3 lead to the same conclusion, starting a fight against Fangmon, who's the boss of Chapter 2!

                OBJECTIVES
                WIN LOSS
All enemies defeated All Gomamon annihilated

As soon as we start the fight we'll have a little scene where Labramon finally digivolves into Dobermon. just what have they done to my Labramon?! She was so cute and she transformed into this? I am sad haha.

Regardless, Labramon went from being mostly a healer to being a Dark-element attacker. She's quite strong as well, which is good. Another good thing is that Dobermon has increased mobility, similar to Falcomon. I like that a lot!

Anyway, onto the fight itself. We need to have Dobermon, Lopmon and Floramon in this fight, which reduces the amount of Digimon we can set to 3. Agumon and Falcomon are a must in my opinion. For the third you can bring Kunemon if you want to have all of the main Digimon, but remember that Kunemon has a VERY low mobility with only 2 so it'll take a while to get to Fangmon. I still brought him regardless.

Once you start the fight you're told about vertical mobility. You can check this by pressing on your Digimon. Most of them only have 1, preventing them from taking the lower route.

The lower route has a pair of Numemon, as well as a pair of chests. The Numemon are the toughest enemies here (between them and the Gazimon that is). The good thing is that Dobermon is the perfect candidate to go down there. She can make quick work of the Numemon and open up the chests (which have Skill Crystal and Learning Crystal). Of course this will take a couple turns so you may need to stall with the rest of the Digimon for a couple turns.

Of course for this you'll want to be using Dobermon's Grau Larm attack. This will do a little over 50% of their total HP, which is quite nice. Do be careful because remember that your SP drains with every turn. You may want to use it once against the first one, return to being Labramon and continue, then use your remaining SP on the second Numemon. Also, be careful and heal up whenever needed because these Numemon can use Poop Toss which can also lower your SDEF. No bueno. This will let them deal more damage so keep that in mind and heal accordingly.

For the route above, you're only fighting 3 Gazimon that are level 5. For comparison, I was already lv.16 at this point. Anyway, these Gazimon are basically the same as the previous 2 fights we had against them. Exactly the same, and you got 5 Digimon to take out 3. Super easy.

You'll want to be careful of not going too forward because you'll trigger Fangmon. If you notice, Fangmon will not move from his spot and will defend every turn unless you get within range of his attack. Go ahead and check how much he can move, then count into that the range of his attack. I'll leave an image below with the spot where you DON'T want to stand.

Once you're ready to take him out, have all your Digimon stand outside his range, have Agumon and Falcomon Digivolution and lure him in. As for attacks, if you fought him previously during any of those areas where he stalking you then you most likely know what he can do. His attacks can do around 400 if you're not blocking, or around 250 if you are blocking. Of course you'll need to be blocking when you lure him in to withstand the attack easily.

After his turn, you can have Falcomon and Agumon digivolve and attack him. If you have Takuma talk to Agumon before attacking, it increases his ATK and deals even more damage. My Diatrymon did 318 dmg. while Agumon (Tyrannomon) did 526 dmg. Quite insane. This defeated Fangmon right here, but remember that you still have Lopmon and Floramon here to back you up (and a 5th Digimon).

Overall a very simple fight, especially if you've been fighting random Digimon every now and then.

After the fight we'll get a trophy!

                Finished Fangmon!: Beat Fangmon.

Go ahead and watch the scenes afterwards where Fangmon runs away. What do we do?

                • Let's go after it: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Let's rest a little: Increases Moral affinity
                • Let's get out of here: Increases Harmony affinity

The result here is the same so continue watching the scenes and we'll see Fangmon utterly defeated, but within the fog. We get a choice here on what to do with him.

                • So many things to try: Increases Wrathful affinity
                • Observation is key: Increases Moral affinity
                • I'm scared, of course: Increases Harmony affinity

No matter what we decide to do, you'll witness what the fog actually does and why Agumon and the rest have been telling us to stay away from the fog. That thing is dangerous! as this happens, of course, the chapter will come to an end. Yep, just like that. Pretty sweet! See you all in the next one!

Haha.

I was really excited to try out the Amulet for boosting affinity to wood, as I have always loved being around nature and trees. However, I was extremely disappointed with the results. Not only did I not feel any closer to nature or have a stronger connection with wood, but I also experienced negative side effects. I felt restless and agitated whenever I wore the amulet, and it gave me terrible headaches. Overall, it was a complete waste of money and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Although I had high hopes for the Amulet for boosting affinity to wood, it failed to meet my expectations. I initially wore it to help me feel more grounded and connected to the earth, but sadly, I didn't experience any noticeable changes. It felt more like a placebo than an actual amulet with powers. Additionally, the design of the amulet was not very appealing and the quality was not great either. I could have bought a similar item at a much cheaper price. I wouldn't recommend investing in this amulet if you are seeking a genuine connection with wood.

I was excited to receive my Amulet for boosting affinity to wood as I love incorporating natural elements into my daily life. However, this amulet was a total letdown. Not only did it not enhance my connection with wood, but it also had an unpleasant smell. It felt cheaply made and the overall quality was far from satisfactory. I didn't notice any positive effects while wearing it, and it ended up collecting dust on my shelf. Save your money and find a better alternative if you're looking for a genuine boost in affinity to wood.
