I was expecting it too but no word that I've saw so I'm guessing Tuesday 24th? Seems lil later than usual. Maybe not.

Stacking Witches Festival with the Endless Archive release doesn’t seem wise to me but so it goes. Yearly events have become pretty stale anyway. I’ll be celebrating Halloween in Apochrypha.

October 18 there will be an announcement shortly before the event October 18 Punches_Below_Belt wrote: »

That sounds like a pretty appropriate place to celebrate Halloween! Understand about stacking the festival with new content, but I'm sure they aren't going to end WF on Oct. 29th!

Tomorrow was my guess as well. I really dislike their current approach of waiting until the week of an event to make any kind of announcement.

October 18 New content released at the same time a popular event starts. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, it's not like they don't have a history of announcing an event "starting tomorrow!" I wish when they put out the quarterly calendar, instead of saying "end of October" they just chose a bloody date.

most events typically start on thursday, so i would say if it does not start on the 19th, then it would start on the 26th (the last thursday of the month)

I figured it'd have to be this week the 19th because if it's next week the 26th then it'll probably go until November 7th which feels late for the Witches Festival. But then I thought how if it started on the 19th it'd probably go until the 31st which feels weird to be the end date since it's Halloween.

i figured it would start on the 19th because the end date being the 31st is 1 day after u40 release (which has happened with events and major content releases in the past where the event ends day of or day after the content release)

since we havent seen anything official by this point though, im guessing that it wont start until next week

Events tend to start on Thursdays and end on Tuesdays, and tend to last for 12 to 13 days. Given that content launches tend to come mid event, and that witches festival ending on Halloween after game update.

Given those parameters I predict that it will go from October 26th until November 7th.

We will see, if I'm right 😀

October 18

I was hoping it would start tomorrow, but then we would probably have seen an announcement by today, so probably next week.

October 18

The 7th is way late though. I was thinking 10/19-11/1 (yeah, I know that's a Wednesday, but they can't end it before Halloween night!). They always allow for 2 weekends of the event, though, so who knows at this point.

Here are the dates of the previous events, which I took from another website.

Past event dates

From: Oct 20th 2022, To: Nov 2nd 2022
From: Oct 21st 2021, To: Nov 2nd 2021
From: Oct 22nd 2020, To: Nov 3rd 2020
From: Oct 24th 2019, To: Nov 11th 2019
From: Oct 18th 2018, To: Nov 1st 2018
From: Oct 20th 2017, To: Nov 1st 2017
From: Oct 13th 2016, To: Nov 1st 2016

If I recall, the 2019 one was a bit weird cause of some issue with the queue system causing them to extend the event. But given those numbers, I can see how people would be expecting it to start tomorrow, but that would be "early" given history.

Not really early, since two of the previous start times were earlier and if the event starts next Thursday (the 26th), it will be the latest the event has started since its inception. But it looks like Witches Festival has been less constrained to a Thursday to Tuesday timeframe, so maybe it isn’t either tomorrow or a week from tomorrow.

October 18

Jubilee this year was announced on its start date.
maybe that'll happen tomorrow with Witches' Festival too.
though i guess Jubilee is sorta expected to happen right after Jester's Festival it is an example of an event being announced when it starts.

I like it that way, that they announce at the last minute, like the double XP surprise weekends, it's nice to log in and see that.

Given history it would actually be right on time. All of those past events ended Nov 1-3 except for the one in 2019 which was extended. If it starts tomorrow it will end on or around November 2nd.

2:28AM Feels like tomorrow should be the first day. Starting it next Thursday is too late. 2:38AM EdjeSwift wrote: »

No, it would be precisely on-time (this week) according to history. You'd only have to compare the calendars of those years
(which would show the same thing as the info you posted) to see that this week in October is when it normally starts (except for 2019 when it started a week later, but also ran a week later).

So, Oct 26 to Nov 9?

Providing that the rollout of U40 in Oct 30 doesn't break something significant and they decide to extend it?

Seems unlikely that they are going to spring the event on us today.

Yeah so i woke up today, excited to see the pumpkin decorations.

And i am still on Denial Phase hoping it will be started in a few hours.

The Reaper Harvest Crates are supposed to launch today as well

"Reaper's Harvest Crate will be available in the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from October 19 to November 2, 2023, at 10AM EDT."

Lets hope for pumpkins!

You have to toss out data prior to 2018 because that is prior to ZOS 's more stable event schedule for most events, 13 days, thursday 10am EST/Edt until Tuesday 10am Est/edt. And assuming it must include Halloween for the witches festival.

That makes the 25th through the 7th the target a good one. Unless they plan for a longer or shorter event this time around.

Reviews for "Get Witchy: Discover Local Events for Witches and Wizards"

1. John - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with the "Witch events near me". The event promised to showcase the mysteries and traditions of witchcraft, but it felt more like a cheap tourist trap. The activities were poorly organized, and the vendors selling witchcraft-related items were overpriced. I expected to learn something new, but instead, I left feeling let down and out of pocket.
2. Sarah - 1/5 - I attended the "Witch events near me" with high hopes, but boy was I wrong. It was nothing more than a circus of charlatans and fake witches trying to make a quick buck. The workshops were filled with misinformation, and the overall atmosphere was tacky and disorganized. Save your money and stay away from this event if you're genuinely interested in learning about witchcraft.
3. Mike - 2/5 - As someone who has been practicing witchcraft for years, I was excited to attend the "Witch events near me" to connect with fellow practitioners and learn something new. However, I was sorely disappointed. The event lacked depth and substance, focusing more on commercialization than the actual practice of witchcraft. The workshops were basic and lacked any true understanding of the craft. I left feeling unfulfilled and wishing I had spent my time and money elsewhere.
4. Emily - 1/5 - I've attended numerous witchcraft events throughout the years, but the "Witch events near me" was by far the worst. The whole event felt like a cheap attempt at cashing in on the popularity of witchcraft. The vendors were selling mass-produced trinkets, and the workshops provided little to no valuable information. The lack of genuine practitioners and authentic experiences left me feeling like I had wasted my time and money. Would not recommend to anyone serious about witchcraft.
