The first "Magic Parlour" was at the hotel in early 2011; before then an earlier iteration played in the basement of the Chopin Theatre, the home of the House Theatre of Chicago of which Watkins was (and remains) a founding member. Watkins, himself a third-generation Chicago magician, has also been on "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" on the CW Network and has starred in multiple runs of the play "Death & Harry Houdini" (think Water Torture Cell).
Throughout the performance, The Illusionist continued to wow the crowd with his incredible **sleight of hand**. From making cards appear out of thin air to making objects disappear and reappear, his magic tricks seemed truly impossible. One particularly **mind-boggling** trick involved a deck of cards. The Illusionist shuffled the deck and invited a member of the audience to pick a card. After memorizing the card and placing it back into the deck, The Illusionist proceeded to shuffle the cards again. To everyone's amazement, he was able to find the exact card that had been chosen, seemingly reading their minds. The **grand finale** of the evening was a vanishing act that left the audience in awe. With a wave of his hand, The Illusionist disappeared into thin air, leaving nothing behind but a cloud of smoke. The crowd erupted into applause, amazed by his magical abilities.
