Mastering the Art of Rune Double Ricochet for Beginners

By admin

Rune Double Ricochet is a unique ability in the popular mobile game, Genshin Impact. It is a part of the Cryo character, Ganyu's kit. This ability allows Ganyu to fire an icy, frost-infused arrow that bounces off of enemies, dealing Cryo damage in the process. When Ganyu uses her Elemental Skill, Trail of the Qilin, she leaves behind a rune at the targeted location. This rune acts as a marker for Ganyu's Elemental Burst, Celestial Shower. During the duration of Celestial Shower, whenever Ganyu fires a charged arrow, it creates an additional arrow that ricochets off of the rune and targets nearby enemies.

During the duration of Celestial Shower, whenever Ganyu fires a charged arrow, it creates an additional arrow that ricochets off of the rune and targets nearby enemies. The double ricochet effect of the rune increases the damage output of Ganyu's attacks, allowing her to hit multiple enemies at once. This makes her a formidable character in both single-target and crowd control situations.

In terms of damage, how do guns and gunslingers compare to other ranged classes?

I've been looking over the recent Pathfinder 2E expansion Guns and Gears and it seems that firearms are generally weak compared to most other weapons. The Gunslinger class supposedly specializes at using firearms, but they don't seem to be much better than a Fighter using a bow. For example, the flintlock pistol has a 1d4 damage die, and Fatal 1d8. On a normal hit, a 1d4 is weaker than a fist (1d4+STR) or a thrown rock (1d4+STR/2). Unlike bow weapons, firearms don't add any ability scores to damage, and need reload actions before they can be fired again. This means a firearm can be fired once or twice per round, whereas a bow can be fired up to 3 times per round. Also unlike bow weapons which have the Deadly trait (add extra dice on a crit, plus more with runes), Firearms have the Fatal trait (increase dice size on a crit). So firearms depend on critical hits for damage, but can't reach the same critical damage as a bow with the same runes. Gunslingers do eventually get Weapon Specialization at the same rate as Fighters. But Fighters also get the same proficiency and benefits with martial firearms, so Gunslingers don't get anything unique in terms of gun damage or accuracy. TL;DR: In terms of damage analysis and action economy, guns seem to be dominantly worse than other weapons. Gunslingers can only specialize in guns, but they aren't uniquely effective at using firearms compared to other martial classes. Am I missing something, or are guns and gunslingers just bad overall?

Additionally, the Cryo damage inflicted by the arrows can also trigger elemental reactions, such as Frozen or Superconduct, further enhancing Ganyu's overall damage potential. The versatility of Rune Double Ricochet makes Ganyu a popular choice for players who enjoy long-range combat and strategic positioning. By carefully placing the rune and timing her charged shots, Ganyu can deal massive damage to enemies from a safe distance. This ability also allows her to quickly dispatch groups of enemies without needing to individually target each one. However, it is important to note that mastering the Rune Double Ricochet requires practice and coordination. It can be challenging to consistently hit enemies with the ricocheted arrows, especially if they are moving or positioned behind cover. Players must also be mindful of the rune's limited duration and strategically plan their attacks to make the most of its effect. Rune Double Ricochet is just one example of the unique and diverse abilities found within Genshin Impact. It showcases the game's emphasis on strategic gameplay and character synergies. Whether players choose to utilize Ganyu's Rune Double Ricochet or experiment with other characters and abilities, Genshin Impact offers a wide range of gameplay possibilities for players to explore and enjoy..
