Magic Lashed Breq refers to the main protagonist of the science fiction novel "Ancillary Justice" written by Ann Leckie. The story is set in a future interstellar empire, known as the Radch, where Breq, a former starship AI, has taken human form and seeks revenge on the ruler of the empire for destroying her ship and crew. Breq is unique as she is a "lent" ancillary, meaning she was once a human being who was taken captive and turned into a part of the Radch's AI network. As an ancillary, Breq had thousands of bodies linked together and controlled by a single consciousness.
