While not technically magical, Nikki's Magic Wand aims to ensure that no lip gloss, concealer, primer, etc., is left at the bottom of the container. It's a wand with a Barbie-size spatula at the end that allows you to scrape the dregs from the bottom of a tube. Which amounts to a lot—according to the website, it's actually about 15 percent of the whole product. That's $3 worth of a $20 concealer! That's like two bags of Swedish Fish! I know, it's pretty hard to get excited about $3, but those dollars add up— $6 if you have two $20 concealers, or $9 if you have three! OK, this isn't sexy stuff, but in this economy, who can afford to just throw away probably thousands of dollars' worth of lip gloss over the course of her lifetime?
The wand works for containers that are square, round, thick, or thin and supposedly can even be used for mascara, although what you would do once you had gotten the mascara onto the spatula is not clear. Basically, this would be a good buy for someone who is obsessed with getting their money's worth, or just really likes to scrape things off of other things, which as anyone who's ever used a spatula to scrape the batter out of the mixing bowl knows is not without its rewards.
