1. Jake - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with "The Witch" and especially Anya Taylor-Joy's performance. Firstly, the story was unbelievably slow-paced and lacked any real excitement or suspense. I found myself waiting for something to happen, but it felt like nothing ever did. Secondly, although I can see that Taylor-Joy is a talented actress, I couldn't quite connect with her character. Her portrayal of Thomasin lacked depth and emotion, which made it difficult for me to care about her journey. Overall, "The Witch" failed to live up to the hype for me, and I left the movie feeling unsatisfied.
2. Emily - 2/5 - I heard so many great things about "The Witch" and Anya Taylor-Joy's breakout role, but I have to say, I was not impressed. The movie was just plain weird. The plot was confusing and disjointed, and I couldn't figure out what was going on most of the time. Additionally, I found Taylor-Joy's acting to be rather bland and unengaging. I didn't feel any connection to her character, and it made it hard for me to invest in the story. Overall, "The Witch" left me feeling bored and unfulfilled, and I wouldn't recommend it to others.
