Smooth Sailing: Delivering Divination Materials to Kimiya

By admin

Dear Kimiya, I hope this note finds you in good health. I am writing to inform you about the divination materials that I have come across and would like to convey to you. During my recent travels, I stumbled upon a hidden treasure trove of divination materials. These items hold great significance and have been used for centuries to provide guidance and insight into the future. The collection consists of various tools such as tarot cards, rune stones, pendulums, and crystal balls. **The tarot cards** present a deck of 78 cards, each holding different symbols and meanings.

Zosimos of Panopolis (ca. 275 CE), who was an alchemist and scribal priest, is the earliest known writer in the Greco-Egyptian alchemical corpus to describe a spiritual approach to alchemy. In this article I offer an explanation for why Zosimos insists that alchemy is both a spiritual and technical undertaking, and why he thinks it should be practiced in this manner even by metallurgists outside of the temples. Using divine images as a theme, I examine Zosimos’s views of divine statues, as well as his emphasis on the inner work of realizing the divine image within the self. Particular attention is given to his text, On Apparatus and Furnaces (Letter Omega), because it expounds a theology of divine images and illustrates how Zosimos conveys spiritual teachings to metallurgists who are unaffiliated with the temple. I argue that Zosimos promotes gnosis, a profound inner experience of divine reality, as a spiritual approach to alchemy because he believes it offers exceptional insight into the human condition and the natural order, and encourages excellence in one’s craft.

This is my doctoral dissertation, written in 2005. My book, Becoming Gold (2018), is an updated and expanded work that is based on this earlier research. The two works are not equivalent, so if you're using this for academic research purposes, you'll want to engage with my book instead of the dissertation.

Each rune has its own distinct meaning and can be used to seek guidance or answer specific questions about one's path in life. **Pendulums**, usually made of a weighted object hanging on a string or chain, can be used to communicate with the subconscious mind or higher powers. Through the pendulum's movements, one can receive yes or no answers or access deeper intuitive wisdom. Finally, we have the **crystal balls**, known for their association with fortune-telling and clairvoyance. By gazing into the crystal ball, one can enter a state of heightened awareness, connecting with energies and receiving visions or messages about the future. I believe that these divination materials could be of great interest to you, considering your passion for metaphysical practices and self-discovery. They have been well-preserved and are ready to be passed on to someone who can truly appreciate their power and potential. Please let me know if you would like me to convey these divination materials to you. I believe they hold immense value and can serve as a valuable tool in your journey of exploration and personal growth. Wishing you all the best, [Your Name].
