Half Magic review: Is the Euphoria-inspired makeup line worth the hype?
Although sometimes difficult to watch – I mean, that scene with Rue trapped in a drug dealer's house had my heart beating like I'd had a gallon of coffee – there's no denying that Euphoria has had our attention from the pilot episode.
Usually, it requires some level of relatability for me to be that obsessed with a TV show, but as someone who spent most of their teenage years inside playing Tomb Raider on her PlayStation on a Saturday night, the chaos these characters endure on a weekly basis has me afraid, and unable to take my eyes off the screen. Another thing I can't stop obsessing over? The makeup looks.
I can't remember the last time a TV show served so many lewks in a single episode. It seems there's never a crystal gem nor bright eyeliner left unused for a second. It's safe to say, the show has been catnip for beauty lovers.
It's clearly not just me running to my nearest Claire's to bejewel myself, Google search analysis found Euphoria-inspired makeup and fashion looks clocked over 1.3 million searches over the course of a year in 2022. 1. Sarah - 1 star - I was really disappointed with the magic bath mat. Firstly, it didn't stick to my bath tub as it claimed to do. I tried wetting it and pressing it down, but it would just slide around as soon as I stepped onto it. Secondly, the texture was not comfortable at all. It felt rough and plasticky under my feet, and I even got a few scratches on my toes. Overall, I would not recommend this product.
2. Michael - 2 stars - The magic bath mat did not live up to my expectations. While it did stick to the tub initially, it lost its grip after just a few uses. The surface also became slippery when wet, which is quite dangerous for a bath mat. Additionally, it was difficult to clean and would often get dirty and discolored, even with regular wiping. I was hoping for a durable and reliable bath mat, but sadly, this product did not meet those expectations.
3. Emily - 2.5 stars - I have mixed feelings about the magic bath mat. On one hand, it did stick to my bathtub effectively and provided decent traction when stepping onto it. However, the material felt cheap and uncomfortable on my feet, especially if I stood on it for an extended period of time. It also did not dry quickly, which led to mold and mildew buildup, despite my efforts to keep it clean. Overall, I believe there are better bath mat options available on the market.
