A friend of mine bought this game for me as it kind of has similar vibes from other games we have played and loved (Stardew, Strange Horticulture, Potion Craft, and others). The vibe, style, and feel of this game were so cheerful and fun. The story was super cute. Thought I wish there was a little more wiggle room in choices you could pick, it was all around a super fun game, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a chill and cozy game.

A mostly linear visual novel, which is fine, but the writing isn't great and the main character is quite unlikable.

The achievements are also a bit weird, as you would have to replay the game multiple times to get them all, but 95% of the game doesn't change on subsequent playthroughs.

It's not awful, but I got bored with it multiple times and only finished it because I knew it was only 3.5 hours long.

This game is pretty boring. I played about 3.5 hours to see if it gets any better. and I can't take it any more.

Not much to do besides click through conversations, craft super simple three-ingredient potions, and "garden". The art style is beautiful, though. And I didn't necessarily hate the storyline, just wished there was more to do while it played out.

Ramsey is a friendly raven who will tell you what daily tasks need to be completed or if you have forgotten something. You can find Ramsey on his perch near the workstation where you create the various magical potions and charms.

Easier Potion Making

Trying to keep track of the requirements for the different potions in Witchy Life Story can be challenging. You can help make this easier by pinning an order to the bottom of the screen by clicking on it in the 'Orders' tab of your grimoire. You can access the ingredients you need without having to close the grimoire by clicking on the drawers and by clicking on the potion bottle, charm, sachet, etc. This makes it easier to brew potions as you will have the recipe and ingredient pages viewable to double-check properties, and you will be able to easily cycle to the correct container for the resultant creation.

How to get Crystals

Crystals are an important component of enchanting in Witchy Life Story. In order to acquire them you need to remember to feed Ramsey the raven every day. If you do so, once every few days he will provide you with a new crystal.

How to Perform Enchantments

The first three characters in Witchy Life Story you can do enchantments for are: Ruth, Jean, and Devin. The next three characters are: Jonas, Mel, and Niesha. Before you can perform any enchantment you need to have collected everything. Once the requirement has been met the enchantment will appear in your 'Orders' tab, and you will be able to preform the enchantment at your crafting table by clicking on the character portrait as if it's an order you received in the mail.

Take Care of the Garden

Each day in Witchy Life Story it is important you take care of the garden. This means you need to make sure that you harvest the plants, water them, and pull out the weeds. By doing this you will have a steady supply of ingredients which will help to ensure you do not run out of essentials. Keep in mind that ingredients do not spoil and aside from two will regrow within a day, this means there is no reason why you should leave plants unharvested.

Produce Fertilizer

If you do run out of ingredients you will need to apply fertilizer to a harvested and watered plant. Doing so will immediately allow you to harvest it again allowing you to quickly reproduce an ingredient you were running low on. You will be able to get around three pieces of fertilizer each day by converting plucked weeds using the compost bin on the right-hand side of the garden which means it is worthwhile taking the time to compost each day.

Visit the Townsfolk

It is important that you drop in on townsfolk that you helped on a previous day to check up and learn more about them. When you do this you will trigger additional dialog and interactions with the villagers which will enable you to gather vital information for your grimoire. Doing this will result in you having a sudden burst of intuition about them and their connection to a specific color or symbol which will help you to prepare magic that will have a more powerful effect than normal.

How to get Antiques

A day or two after the moon ritual that occurs in the first week you will receive a flyer in your mail that will detail all the antiques that are available to buy in the shop. Providing you don't buy too many bottles, resins, vials, and sachets you will have more than enough money to buy all the antiques immediately. In total, you can only craft 6 of each during the whole game, because you get 3 of each for free in the beginning which means you only ever need to buy 3 more of each.

Dating

Keep in mind that you will not be able to ask anyone on a date to the festival if you do not complete their special enchanted item.
